Grandma Goodrich will always be a hero to me. Growing up, she made such a powerful impact on my life that I´m certain my life would not be as rich as it is today.
Her Granddaughter, Sia, was more than a best friend to me growing up she was my sister and continues to hold that title. We stayed at grandma´s house quite often and loved to entertain Grandma with our silliness. Through high school, college and beyond, Grandma Goodrich was always there to listen. If I needed a hug she was there with arms already open. If I needed someone to listen to my frustrations-she was ready to roll her eyes with me. Always on your side but always honest.
When times are tough in life I look to her and think, "If Grandma could handle Chores at 5am, again at 3pm with goats to milk and eggs to collect and ALL the happenings of a farm, lead a 4H club, take care of human kids all day, make dinner for her family and STILL have time to watch her granddaughter and best friend put on a goofy skit...then I can handle whatever life throws my way. Thank you grandma for making my life richer than it ever would have been without you. Im so glad you got to meet my children. (Who mutually fell in love with you instantly)
Peace and love,
Leslie Roycroft (Meers)
