You were one of the best educators in South Carolina and always had time to listen to the problems of your students. You have changed the lives of so many. You will be missed by all that have had the pleasure of knowing you. I know you will be missed by your husband Billy. May he get through this transition easily and God bless all of the family. Heaven will be a better place with you there.

So sorry to hear of the passing of "Coon" as we call her at Winthrop. She was a super bright and caring person who dedicated her time and energy to educating and nurturing young people. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

I want to express to Bill and his family; along with Bobbie Frasier, my sympathy in the lost of Marilyn Hendrix.
We worshiped together at Messiah for a number of years.
She was a real Christian friend and wonderful person to be around.
God grant you peace and comfort.
I know that she is lighting up heaven with her love and humor!
Peace be with you all.
Love, Lillie Hayes

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Marilyn. She was a friend to so many of us at Winthrop. She certainly had a life well lived and was such a wonderful addition to the education field. May she rest in peace and may God give her family strength and peace as they go through this very sad time.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Ms. Koon ( Hendrix)! She was such a great influence on all the students of Hillcrest High School! Then, as a teacher in the Greenville County School District I was doubly influenced by her! She led with great integrity! I always loved seeing her over the years! Our most recent meetings were at physical therapy! She was still the same person I had always known! I'm so glad I got to talk with her those last few times in the fall of 2019! She will be missed!
