Marilyn Monat Obituary
Marilyn F Monat passed away unexpectedly at home April 1, 2025. She was born May 14, 1947 in Springfield Mass to the late Norman F Monat & Helen (Meyer) Monat. She grew up in Springfield and then later moving to Wilbraham she graduated from Commerce High School. She retired several years ago from the courthouse in Brandon, Florida. She was an extreme animal lover and rescued many stray dogs & cats. Her dream was to own a farm someday & take in many stray animals. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, & spending time with her family & friends. Marilyn leaves her sisters Linda J Chartier & Nancy H. Guz & her husband Peter Guz. Her nieces & nephews Kathleen Chartier; Charity Baker, Eric Guz, Michael Chartier & Auburn Monat as well as her great nieces Marissa Callahan & Cailyn Guz. She also leaves her beloved cat Cinnamon along with many other family members & several dear longtime friends. She was predeceased by her brother Richard W. Monat & her great nephew Cole Chartier.
Donations can be made in Marilyn's memory to Thomas J O'Connor and or Dakin animal shelters and also Falkenburg Animal Shelter in Tampa, Florida.

Tomorrow is eight months since you left us... Still so hard to believe... I think of you every day... We had our ups and downs but was normal... I miss you more than words can say and love you very much... I still and always will think if you never moved you'd still be with us... Love you Marilyn... Your niece Kathleen Chartier...

Im so sad that you´re gone Auntie Marilyn. It was nice when you visited me in California and I was looking forward to the next visit coming up. You & I had so much in common even though we only when I was an adult. I miss hearing from you, love you.

I´m so sorry to hear about Marilyn´s passing. I would always see her post about animals that she´s trying to save. I´m sure she´s up in heaven, looking for those animals and giving them love. Rest in peace Marilyn.

I am proud to say that Marilyn was my good friend. We enjoyed many good times together. She was the most kind, compassionate, and caring friend. I will miss her more than words can convey. Rest well my friend.

Condolences to Marilyn´s family. Marilyn and I worked together and enjoyed a long lasting friendship. Her love of family, friends and animals were the highlight of her life. She will be missed.
