How very saddened I was to hear of Marilyn's passing. Not only was she my first (and best boss ever) at the Cleveland Clinic (1977) she was my mentor and inspiration.
A tireless advocate of physical therapy, a compassionate and masterfull clinician, a dedicated mentor to us all. Marilyn, you will be missed beyond what words can express.

Dear Family of Marilyn:
Our State of OH PT Licensing Board sends its deepest sympathies to you at this time. I would like to send a card to the family and need a solid name and address, so if someone could please respond, I would appreciate it greatly. I have attempted to locate Jon (Jack) Mount by email, but no results. Our board has sent donations to both of the foundations listed in the obituary. Again, we share your grief, as Marilyn was a dear friend and mentor to many of us.

I was very saddened to learn of the loss of Marilyn. My mind raced back to not only the shared memories of our families growing up together in Clintonville, but also Marilyn's unmatched kindness, humility and deep personal dedication to all that she embraced. To me, as well as to many others I am sure, she was an extraordinary example of greatness in her life, as well as of sincerity in her soul. This world will indeed miss her a lot. My sympathies are extended first to her entire family, and then to her close circle of colleagues and friends. Rest in peace, Marilyn.....

Many years ago when we were students together at Dominion and Whetstone (as well as friends in Camp Fire), I knew Marilyn would be that gentle person who would make her mark on the world by touching many lives. And so she did for many years! She will be missed by so many people. She was a very, very special lady. A blessing to us all while she lived, a loss now which though it cannot be replaced,is a legacy to be remembered and respected.

Marilyn was the first person I met at work, and who hired me. She was a very steady and positive influence in our work site, and a tireless representative of the physical therapy profession. She will be missed by all.

Marilyn was my first "boss" at Cleveland Clinic. Her positive influence on me has been with me my entire life. So many times in my various management jobs I would say, "What would Marilyn do?" I feel blessed to have her as a role model and also as a friend over the years. She was a true servant and made the world a better place with her presence. My most sincere sympathy to her family and friends.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. My mother was a physical therapist for years and years, at Riverside. I know first hand that humanity's most patient and compassionate servants are drawn to that profession. Marianne Williamson once observed that “Nothing liberates our greatness like the desire to help, the desire to serve.” That seems especially true of Marilyn.
