Marilyn Ruth Poppe

Marilyn was an avid and curious reader who enjoyed talking to our staff and to authors and other readers. We always enjoyed her comments on what she liked. We have missed her these past years.

My daughter,Kristine, was lucky enough to marry into this loving family. Marilyn was a joy to be around. We shared a love of books and she was generous beyond words when she passed her library of audiotapes to me when she transferred to discs. She left us too soon, but her wonderful family are a tribute to her. Rest in peace, Marilyn.

Although I only visited her at her home a few times it was always very serene. She had a beautiful smile and always made me feel welcome. I will think of her often. especially sitting among the flowers and sipping on a glass of lemonade.
She was my go to person when I had a question about my car insurance and she along with Don made the experience pleasant.
She made the world a better place to live in.
