Thinking about memories of Marilyn...we remember the family get-togethers, holidays, and birthday cards she sent all of us every year. Also remember her chocolate chip cookies and all the good meals she made for occasions. She always gave us some extra food to take home(she gave her niece, Amanda, the green bean casserole because she liked that). We will miss her.

I was sorry to learn of Marilyn's death. I am also sorry I missed her service as I didn't see her obituary until it was too late. She was a very sweet lady and a wonderful individual. She will be missed. May you all find comfort and peace in the love of our Lord, just as Marilyn did.

Marilyn went on every one of our bus trips. We loved her very much. She was in the Bible Study I was in and contributed as a member. We also lived across the road from her daughter and son-in-law for many years until we moved a year ago. Our daughter and son-in-law bought Shockleys home on VanZile Road around 1980. So we have had a very close relationship with Marilyn. We are sure that God welcomed her with open arms.

Marilyn I loved you sooo much. You will be greatly missed. You were just like a second Mother to me and always will be. You gave so much to so many especially your family. I am forever grateful for the gift of you. Love, trust, friendliness and courage are some of the lessons you taught all of us. You fought even till the end. You are my hero. I just wanted to tell you how important you are to me and how much I loved you. Our visit Saturday was priceless. I am so glad I went to see you. I will miss your smile and just the glow you put in each and every room you were in. I also will miss your delicious chocolate chip cookies you made for me. I always ate atlease three on the way home. You are out of pain and can breath now . Hallelujah!!!! Tell my Dad and Greg I said hi when you get to heaven.
