Marilyn J. Theisen, age 54 of Burtrum died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, Minnesota after a long courageous battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 3 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Arlie Sowada officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to service Wednesday at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle. St. Joseph's Christian Mothers and Catholic Aid will pray at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening in the church followed by parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Marilyn Theisen was born February 27, 1952 in Little Falls, Minnesota to Otto and Bernice (Rahn) Friese. She was united in marriage to Eugene Theisen on July 17, 1971 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle.Together they farmed outside of Burtrum. Marilyn was very active in the communitiy of Swanville and the community of Grey Eagle where she also worked for many years as a bank teller. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Eugene Theisen of Burtrum; children, David Theisen of Villard, Christine (Bruce) Sales of Burtrum, Michael Theisen of Sauk Rapids, Jeremy and Matthew Theisen both of Burtrum; 2 grandchildren; father, Otto Friese of Burtrum; and brothers, Doug (Mary) Friese of Little Falls and Randy Friese of Burtrum. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice (Rahn) Friese. Casket bearers will be David, Michael, Matthew, and Doug Theisen, Bruce Sales, and Randy Friese. Serving as cross bearer will be Haileigh Sales and scripture bearer will be Jordan Sales. Honorary Bearer will be Jeremy Theisen.
