Marilyn Lee Turner

Marilyn was born in Seattle Washington on October 9, 1947 and entered peacefully into rest in San Francisco on September 26, 2023. Marilyn was retired and had worked at Cooper Medical Devices and Sparta Instrument for the majority of her career.

Most importantly though, was her love of family. She never complained and was always there for others. Marilyn donated a kidney to her youngest daughter Marjorie in 1987 and lovingly cared for her parents in the twilight of their lives. Sadly Marjorie passed in 2005.

She'll be remembered for her love of music and growing things, a beautiful quirky personality and wry sense of humor. She will certainly be missed by many.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, James Turner of Oakland, CA. Her Daughter, Nannette Moreno of Placerville, CA. Her son, Bobby Moreno of Denham Springs, LA. Her grandson Christopher Bateman of Alequippa, PA. Her granddaughter Felicia Bateman of Truckee, CA. and her great granddaughter Marlo Watts of Truckee, CA.

Marilyn Was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Marian Alexio of San Leandro, CA. Her daughter Marjorie McKernan of Walnut Creek, CA. Her brother Michael Alexio Jr. of Ellensburg, WA.

Services will be held for Marilyn on Saturday October 14, 2023 at 1pm at Grissom's Chapel and Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA. 510-278-2800. The burial ceremony will be private.
