MARIO DaROSSO Obituary
Age 91, of Green Tree, native of Friuli, Italy, on Thursday, April 9, 2015. Beloved husband of 65 years to Nelly Galafassi DaRosso; son of the late Alexander and Rosalia (Pellarin) C. DaRosso; father of Dr. Robert (Marisol) C. DaRosso and Nancy Lee (David) Ritthamel; brother of Primo (late Louise) C. DaRosso and Angelo (Alice) C. DaRosso; grandfather of Alexander and Ryan Ritthamel, Matthew and Daniel C. DaRosso; special niece, Gina C. DaRosso. A simple and humble man, Mario enjoyed spending time with his family, loved gardening and was very artistic. He was a member of the BAC Local #9 since 1949 and a member of the American Legion Green Tree Post Local 823. He was a proud Army veteran of WWII having earned a WWII Victory Medal, Bronze Star and Purple Heart. Friends welcome Monday 2-4, 6-8 p.m., WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, (412-563-2800) 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Margaret of Scotland Church. Burial with full military honors will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 50 Moffett St., Pgh., PA 15243 or to the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, 374 Temple Hill Rd., in New Windsor, NY 12553
