I am so sorry for your loss. I just found out about Mario's passing. Mario was my Mother's nurse while she was at Elmhurst Hospital in 2013 and that's how we found out that we knew his aunt, uncle and cousins. Even when she was not in his care, he came to say hello every day and was very encouraging. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends but also by so many who were lucky enough to have him as their nurse and so many who never got to be taken care of by him. Please accept our sincerest sympathy! May he R.I.P.

A million words would not bring you back, I know because I've tried. Neither would a million tears, I know because I've cried.

Today is our 17th anniversary.

Now that you're not here to share my life each day. I feel a sadness in my heart that just will not go away. When the sun goes down and everything starts to fall, is when my arms long for you and I miss you most of all. For, when we were together we were as close as we could be and there isn't anyone on earth who could mean the same to me.

Mario Jai Dobric, 53, left us on 21st August 2016 at his home in Astoria, Queens, New York. His funeral service will be held on August 27 at Thomas M. Quinn & Sons, 35-20 Broadway, Long Island City, NY, followed by a funeral service and internment in Labin, Croatia.

Mario was born on April 1st, 1963. He married Yuemei Dobric on August 27, 1999.

Mario was passionate about music, he played in rock bands and wrote songs throughput his life. He was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for friends and families. He achieved black belt in the Japanese art of Aikido. He practiced Yoga and obtained license as Yoga Asana instructor.

Mario was very concerned about the environment. He considered all beings were equal and did his best to go green. As a nurse, he was compassionate and had a deep sense of caring for people. He had a big heart and was generous and kind to all beings.

Mario was one of those few blessed ones who were able to maintain a child's curiosity and purity throughout his life. He enjoyed life to its fullest.

He was survived by his father (Mario) sister (Mirjana), and wife (Yuemei).

Watching girls go passing by it ain't the latest thing
I'm just standing in a doorway.
I'm just trying to make some sense.
Out of these girls passing by, the tales they tell of men.
I'm not waiting on a lady, I'm just waiting on a friend.

Zbogom prijatelju
