Years later we happen on this and were saddened to hear of Mario's passing. The Cooper boys had some fun times and a lot of laughs back with the 18th Ave bunch. It was a pleasure to know Mario if only for a brief moment in our youth, but we never forgot. Jerry, Jim and Jeff.

I'm so sad that Mario has passed. He hung in there and fought that awful disease for a long time. I spoke to him recently and we told stories and Peggy told me that he hadn't laughed like that in a long while. I was so thankful I was able to make that call. He told me about a fight he was in many years ago when he punched a guy and then Darc stepped in and finished it for him. His presense was so real this last week I couldn't belive he was gone.

One of his greatest jokes I remember was..... he was trimming our trees (on the clock Ha ha for the city of MPls. and he called me on the phone and said "I can see you" very creepy voice, I looked up and he was standing in the yard with a hard hat, googles, and a chain saw. Scared the hell out of me.

I can also see him blowing spit bubbles out of his mouth. He was surley a character and he made lot's of people laugh.

He will be missed by everyone. Hang on to those memories to ease the loss. Peggy I promise I will keep in touch and gather pictures for you.

Love always

Dear Peggy & Family:

Our thoughts are with you. We remember how Mario took care of the warming room and would talk all the hockey parents into donating their used skates. How he would come to the Sibley board when he wanted something like the skate sharpener cause who could argue with Mario?

His contacts allowed us to get food donations to sell at the May Day Parade and Lenhardt tournaments so that profit could go back to the kids at Sibley park.

We both look back at those times and how he cared about all the kids.

Peggy, Paul, Mario, Gina, Augie, & Randy:
My heart goes out to you all for the loss of Mario. I will always remember the good times at Sibley Field and the way he coached all of the boys. He made a big impact on many peoples lives - he worked tirelessly while at the Sibley warming room acquiring and sharpening skates. He helped kids to ice skate when he was the warming room attendant. I am glad that his suffering is over. God bless you all!

The Pacheco family,
As children, Mario were friends and we played a lot of sports together at Brackett Park. He was a great little league pitcher and quarter-back. We didn't have to do much on defense when he was on the mound. But we sure did win a lot of games. I can still see him going into his wind-up and stretch.
It was a pleasure to play with him. It was a long time ago but I will never forget those days, sometimes they still seem like yesterday.
Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed.
Your 1st baseman,

We thought of you with love today but that is nothing new,
We thought about you yesterday and days before that too,
We think of you in silence, we often speak your name,
All we have are memories and your picture in a frame,
Your memory is our keepsake with which we’ll never part,
God has you in His keeping, we have you in our hearts.

You will be missed terribly...you may be gone but will never be forgotten.

Love you
Antonio & Heidi
