Marion Hoffman was a shining light in the Bladensburg community, Prince George's County, and Maryland. Serving in local government and for the betterment of the community was second nature to her. That Peace Cross was rededicated in November 2022 before her passing represented the completion of one of the patriotic causes on which she worked with other community members. The Patriotic Committee was carried by her buoyant spirit and unwavering dedication. I'll never forget her presiding over Veterans Day events and presenting the winners of the yearly elementary school-childrens' essays about "What the Flag Means to Me" at Bladensburg Town Council meetings. We all knew what those who served our country and the U.S. flag meant to Marion Hoffman because she walked the talk. She was respected for her leadership and accomplishments, but she will be remembered even more for the strength of her convictions and her ability to motivate others.

So sorry for your great loss, Warren. Marion was a friend and a very special woman. She was always there to help me when the need arose.
Barbara and I will say a special pray for her immortal soul and will keep her in our daily Rosary.
