Marion Jamison Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 16, 2025.
Fishkill - Marion Jamison entered this world the year of our Lord 1936, in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. She died on December 1, 2025. She was born to Florence Fleming of Tortola, British West Indies, and Ivan Lee of Puerto Rico. Marion was the eldest of seven children (Siblings: David, Joseph-

deceased, Noel, Shirley, Karen and Walter).

After moving to New York with her mother, she graduated from Julius Richmond High School in Manhattan. Marion was accustomed to attending church every Sunday with her mother and siblings. She loved the Lord and enjoyed singing hymns and reading scriptures. At age 21, Marion's hand was taken in marriage by Abraham Jamison of Orangeburg, South Carolina, at Mt. Zion AME Church in the heart of Harlem. Marion became the mother of nine children (Edward, Adam, David, Daniel -deceased, Joesph, Esther - deceased, Lester, Naomi - deceased and Eva).

Marion attended the New York School of Dietetics and became certified, later taking a position at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Marion had a deep love for children and naturally found herself caring for them.

In 1972, Marion baptized at the Bronx Washington Seventh-day Adventist Church. She served faithfully as a deaconess for many years. Later, she became a charter member of the Sharon Seventh-day Adventist Church. Marion eventually moved to the Mt. Eden section of the Bronx, where she lived for more than 25 years. She attended the Grand Concourse SDA Church with her children and grandchildren. In 2006, she moved to Hudson Valley, New York, to live with her daughter, and attended the Beacon Light Tabernacle SDA Church for nearly two decades.

Marion entered her rest on December 1, 2025, awaiting the trumpet call of her Lord.
