Beloved wife and best friend of 63 years to Dr. Harold "Buddy" Shrifter. Loving mother of Karen Poter (life partner- Steven Koenig), Susan Fialkow (life partner- Carlos Pickett) and Robert (Cathy) Shrifter. Dear mother-in- law of Neil Fialkow the late Gary Poter. Proud grandmother of Jessica (Andy) Petruzzo, Cameron Poter and Jeremy Poter, Jonah Fialkow and Austin Fialkow, Grace Shrifter and Reid Shrifter and great grandmother of Gary. Fond sister of Ann (the late Harry) Rosenthal, the late Howard (the late Claire) Katz and the late Morris Katz. Treasured aunt of many.
Marion was a bright light, a kind soul, who brought so much joy to all of her family and friends. She was humble and probably never realize the impact she had on all who knew her. She will be missed terribly and in our hearts always.
Service Sunday, 9:30AM at Chicago Jewish Funerals, 8851 Skokie Blvd (at Niles Center Road), Skokie. Interment Westlawn Cemetery. May Mom Marion spirit find eternal peace, and may you be comforted by loving memories and gentle embrace of the Divine. Thank you for the trust, love, happy moments, your smile you gave us as we cared for you and your husband. We will miss you so much. Our heartfelt condolences.
