Dear Rivera Family,
Our family would like to express our sincere condolences. We are so sorry for your loss. Marissa has been a special part of our family's lives through Dr. Colletti & Dr. Matustik's dental practice for many years. She always took great care of our kids during their visits to the dentist's office. She was a familiar, friendly face that always put them at ease. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
God's Peace and Blessings!

Marissa was the most passionate, fearless person I have ever met. I will always remember her generosity, her kindness, and her enthusiasm for life. She was a dear friend, who made friends wherever she went, and I will miss her forever. The world is less interesting without her in it.

Marissa made all of her patients feel like friends. I always enjoyed visits to the dentist because of her energy and conversation. We both shared a love for the Smiths and sometimes it was hard to keep from chatting throughout the entire appointment! Her passion for life was apparent even from knowing her for only a short time. She touched the lives of so many more people than she could ever know. I'll miss you Marissa, I hope they play Morrissey in heaven :)

To Marissa's family, close friends and co-workers, I am so very sorry for your loss. Marissa was my hygienist for many years. She was excellent in her profession and a had a wonderful way of putting me to ease as her patient through her skills and by having an exceptional ability for conversation. I wish she could know how much she helped me professionally and personally. (Professionally she helped ease my dental anxiety I have from a bad dental experience at another dental office. She listened, believed and professionally understood my medical sensitivity to the medication. Personally, she had compassion and sympathy for me when three years ago my family suffered the sudden loss of my nephew.) I appreciate her kindness and for professionally taking good care of me and my family through the years. I know her parents, sister and Dr. Colletti & Dr. Matustik must be proud of her work at the dental office, just as I know her parents must be proud of the delightful and vibrant woman she was. Marissa was such a wonderful, charismatic woman that I enjoyed visiting with. Sometimes it amazed me how much she would remember about my family and our plans. And I enjoyed hearing about her life; the holiday plans with family, or the up coming baseball game with the dental office, or her latest concert, vacation or roller coaster ride. (She was so excited about being in the Six Flags commercial even if she wasn't riding in the front!). So although I didn't know Marissa very well, every six months I shared a glimpse of my life with her and she shared a glimpse of her wonderful life with me, and I certainly "enjoyed the ride"! Thank you Marissa! ( I am attaching a picture of beach because it reminds me of a picture on the little TV screen above the dental chair. She would offer a picture or to turn on the TV to a show in order to help me. I usually chose the picture, because Marissa's stories were better!)

So sorry to hear of Marissa's passing. I will miss her smiling face greeting me in the hallway at the dentist's office. What a very special person she was. Remembering how much she made me smile while we told each other stories about our vacations, friends and families. She was so caring and sweet. We are saddened and will miss her fantastic humor, wit, and expertise. We both enjoyed conversations about roller-coasters, music, and family life! She always listened to the patient and made a potentially uncomfortable cleaning go by in a blink....yes she was that good! God Speed Marissa you will be missed.

"There is a light that will never go out..." The Smiths
There are no words that can comfort us at this time. There is not enough time that will ever heal us, until we are all reunited with you. We were all blessed to know and love you with your borrowed time on this earth. Your presence of love and light, lifted us all. We lift your parents and Lisette up in prayer, along with those who loved you dearly.
I will continue to live life, as you did and cherish every Morissey concert - singing my heart out for you. I will always love you Marissa and miss you dearly.

Thank you, for being who you are. I guess for most people going to the dentist is not really something you look forward to, but you always made it less scary and more enjoyable. They time would fly by listening to your stories or sharing in our common interests. Sometimes I'd worry you were going to poke me with something sharp b/c what we were talking about was funny or would make me smile at the wrong time. (That never happened though, don't worry) Anyway, thank you for being so awesome and kind, we will all miss you very much. My heart goes out to your close family and friends during this difficult time.
Love and Light,
Barbara
