Dear Ginny and Nigel, I was talking to my mother tonight on the telephone and was shocked to learn of your mother's death. I last saw her in her home the winter she sold the house. Your mother and I sat in the little sun room off the livingroom and had a good chat. I remember as a very little girl picking all the carnations in my father's front garden on 140th Street, walking across the back lane, knocking on your back door, and giving them to your mother because she was so beautiful. I imagine that there was a telephone call immediately after my visit alerting my mother to the fact that I had denuded my father's garden. An era is over with your mother's death. I offer my condolences.

Dear Ginny, I am sad to hear of your Mum's passing. I do remember her as a lovely, lively lady. Your parents were good friends with mine and they will be very saddened by this news. I have very fond memories of your family. Thanks. Rejoice in her memory and I will admire the knitted doll that my daughter has that your mother made! Heart felt condolences to you and your family and your brother and his family.

Virginia and Nigel: This has been the greatest shock I have had in many months. I am so sorry to hear about Jerry especially in that I knew nothing about her being ill. My deepest regrets to you both and my thoughts are with you. Take care.

To Nigel, Ginny and families - I was so sorry to read , in the Journal, that you Mom has passed away. I have fond memories of her (and your Dad) when he and Bob worked at Chemcell and, more recently, when your Mom lived here at the Renaissance. I saw her quite often and was concerned when she became forgetful. My sympathy to your all. Frances Reynolds
