Marjorie Marge Warner Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 29, 2023.
Marjorie Ann "Marge" (Martenson) Warner, age 85, left this earth to be home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at 2am, 24 Aug 2023. After a courageous and 'miraculous' battle, she passed away quietly and peacefully in the company of her family, at her private home, in Heritage Springs Country Club and Resort, Trinity FL. The angels led her to the fountains of the Waters of Life. She was a lady of strong Christian faith. Father George prayed with her for a last confession, communion and Last Rites before her passing. Heaven became a little bit brighter with her smile!

Marge was born 16 May 1938 in the outskirts of the City of Eau Claire WI., to Albert and Charlotte Martenson (Pope). She was one of 9 children. All the Martenson kids attended St Regis Catholic School. She was preceded in passing by her sister Nancy Rau and her two brothers, Ned Martenson and Chuck Martenson. She is survived by her loving husband Gary Warner (of 66 years marriage); sisters Jean Hermanson (Rich, deceased), Lois Adams (Calvin) and Kathy Rassbach (Steve, deceased) and her brothers Al "Jim" Martenson (Dee Curly), and John Martenson (Laurie). She is survived by her 4 children James "Jim" Warner (Cheryl Feldman), Dean Warner, Brenda Warner Lee (Paul Lee) and David Warner (Sandy Evans), and her granddaughter (Dean's daughter), Colleen Kelly Spencer (Alan) and her great-grandson Stellan Spencer. She's survived by many nieces and nephews and their kids.

On June 1st, 1957, Marge and Gary took their wedding vows at St Olafs Catholic Church in Eau Claire. Jim and Dean were born in Eau Claire. Gary (and Marge) got a job at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where Brenda was born. Gary (and Marge) got a job at Martin-Marietta in Denver then at GE Space and Military Division in King of Prussia, PA. where Dave was born. Marge sold toys in Denver where she won a trip to Miami and they extended their trip to Key West. She loved her gold earrings Gary bought her at Mel Fisher's Maritime Museum while in Key West. In PA, she worked sales for several years at Moore's Furniture, then got her Real Estate license and worked for Remington and Wiechert Realtors. Later she achieved her broker's license and worked at RE/MAX Professional in Exton. Her fond moniker was "The Real Estate Lady" and she kept current her PA Broker's license until she was 80 years old! Remarkable career. She renovated the family home on Marsh Creek State Park ("Marsh Manor") where they lived for 55 years. For 20 years, they enjoyed their 'summer-bird' homes ("Bridgeview" and "Ship Watch Pointe") in St Ignace, Upper Michigan. She enjoyed having many family members and friends stay over for barbeques and holidays. In 2021, they moved to a beautiful home in "Natures Place" (Trinity, FL) where they enjoyed many large wild birds, deer, turtles and alligators living in their backyard pond and canal. She belonged to her "Nature's Place Ladies Club" and enjoyed many friends and neighbors for luncheons and visits.

She and Gary traveled often to Michigan, Wisconsin, Montana, Hawaii and Alaska. Global travel to Panama, Caribbean, South Korea (DMZ), she walked on the Great Wall of China, she sailed to the Great Barrier Reef, and went to the Glaciers of New Zealand, South Island. No matter the travel destination, her favorite place was at home with her family. She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church (Eagle, PA) and St. Peter the Apostle (Trinity, FL). She was a proud American patriot and will be laid to rest in Florida National Military Cemetery, Bushnell (north of Tampa) with Gary (at God's future date).

Family is receiving friends and relatives, Thursday, October 19, 2023, 10:30 am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 8320 Old County Road 54, New Port Richey, FL 34653. Father George presiding and Christine (neighbor), operatic Gospel singing. The family will send an email announcement regarding the date/time of gathering. Marge and Gary found great comfort watching Sunday TV Mass. Contributions can be made in Marge's memory https://www.heartofthenation.org/donate/donate-online

Marge was a customer of mine as I was her Avon lady. She and Gary would stop by once a year when they were in the area. It was always such a pleasure to visit with them. What great people to know! I will miss Marge and her beauty. She had a wonderful smile. We hope Gary´s great memories will sustain him. With love and sincere condolences, Dean and Laurie Steiner, St. Ignace
