Marjorie Elizabeth "Beth" Sturgeon

Marjorie Elizabeth Sturgeon, nee Tabler, 70, of Taylors, SC, passed away on March 6, 2024. Born on December 17, 1953, in Baltimore, MD, Marjorie, known to family and friends as Beth, was a longtime resident of Catonsville, MD until relocating to South Carolina in 2018 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren.

Beth had a generous spirit, unwavering dedication to family and friends, and a keen sense of humor. She dedicated 35 years of her life to Northrop Grumman, formerly Westinghouse Electronics Group, starting as a temp secretary and advancing to a Production Planner and Scheduler role.

A lifelong Baltimore Orioles fan, Beth also enjoyed playing card games, dining with loved ones, and holiday festivities, especially Christmas. She leaves behind a legacy of love and hard work that will be remembered by all who knew her.

Beth is survived by her daughter, Laura Goodwin and son in-law Dexter Goodwin, III. Her sister Barbara Cochran and her husband Tom, her brother Walter Tabler and his wife Nora, her brother Lawrence "Larry" Tabler, and her sister Carol Blazer and her husband Thom. Also, her grandchildren, June and Dexter Goodwin IV, who were the light of her life, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Memorial Service in honor of Beth will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Greenville, SC, on March 23, 2024, at 2pm, followed by a gathering at Park View at Hollingsworth from 4pm-6pm. A Celebration of Life will also take place in Catonsville, Maryland on June 8th, with details to be announced.
