The news of dear Mark's passing is deeply saddening. I had the honor of being his student at Alam High School in Mashhad.
His calm, dignified, and patient character, the face that was always accompanied by a smile, and his remarkable ability to teach English will never fade from my memory.
I extend my condolences to his family and loved ones.
May his soul rest in peace.

Dear Aiden and Denise:
I was extremely saddened to read of Mark's death in the Nashua Telegraph.
I taught Remedial Math in the Nashua School System back when there was
only one high school. I knew Mark through the ESL program. Later I taught
in the Title I program at Pennichuck Jr. High when Denise was there.
His obituary described the Mark that I knew. His dedication to all students
and his commitment to providing them with the best possible opportunities
went far above the norm. At his retirement party held in the library of Nashua
High many of his former ESL students attended to pay homage to the man
who gave them their start. Where Dinese also shared the story of their wedding
On one occasion, when you were about 6 or 7 you had dinner at my house
I do not remember the reason, but I think it involved ESL students. You were
so well behaved. Another time he brought several Vietnamese students to my
camp on Great Moose Lake in Maine (where I now live) for the weekend.
We had such a good time and made forever memories which I treasure to this day.
Our paths have not crossed since I moved to Maine but I will remember him
with respect and love for as long as I can remember.
With sympathy and love

I am sorry to hear of Mark´s passing. I enjoyed working with him in the Nashua School District´s administration building. He was kind, smart and so interesting to talk to about his world travels. He helped so many students´ learning experience.
