Mark Nickolas Artukovich

Mark and I were classmates at St. Bede's in La Canada. One Talent Show in 4th grade, he and Joe Poletti wore straw hats & canes as they danced to GODSPEL'S song "All For The Best". His ginormous smile and BIG energy were great that day on stage. I'm glad he lived his life full of zest.

I knew Mark from St. Bedes and La Canada high school. I just found out he passed several years ago. I remember going to his house in Flint ridge. I have fond memories of Mark.

Mark was my neighbor who lived behind me. As I remember he was a great person as was his whole family. Losing him is a great loss. Sandy Ferrier

I remember Mark from school. I stumbled upon an article this morning about Mark's passing in 2019. I like the comment posted here where it states, " and generally caused minor chaos throughout the streets of La Cañada". My condolences to his family. Rest in Peace.

You would think it would get easier as time goes on.. well it doesn't. Anytime I come across your picture. I starre cry and say, I can't believe your really gone, won't be seeing that face when I wake up or go to sleep. God, dad I love you and miss you soo much, the thought of you not ever being here with me again is killing me...literally!

WHAT!!! Can't believe Mark is no longer with us on earth...He's in heaven watching over his family and playing tricks on everyone. He was one of the first kids I met when my family moved to La Canada. And we met him hiding in a bush across the street from his home. He would tie a wallet to fishing wire, leave the wallet on the street and people like my parents always stopped and made one of us get out to pick it up. Then Mark would pull that wire!!! I think my mom stopped every time; we rolled our eyes and said "It's Mark MOM!!!" Mark was always laughing and having fun.

I met Mark Artukovich and some of the members of his immediate family about 10 years or so ago at my parent's Croatian gelato shop which was called Michael's Gelato and Cafe in downtown Palo Alto.

The Artukovich family were in town due to a water polo tournament at Stanford and stopped by a few times to say hello.

Even though i only met him briefly, i can tell was a good father and a classy man.

My most sincere condolences go out to the entire Artukovich family.

Some pics I have had in my phone

Dad I try to act like your at work and it's a normal week day. On my way home this morning I look at my pictures in my phone, come across you and Skylar In my old apartment in park Estates . You were sitting in Skylar's pink chair in her room as she played house with you as she washed her dishes in her play sink . The smile on her face says it all. All that you did and all that you were really makes it difficult to swallow that you won't be walking in the back Door from work. Or trying to hideout in my room so I didn't have to massage your feet. Shame on me.. what I would give to be able to do that now. Life is crazy. As my love for you. Thank you for being you. No one ever could compare or even come close. Truly you are one in a million, and I can't let you go. I'd give my life for you to be better and be able to be here with the family. Everyone of us trying to hold it together for mom in all our different ways of grievIng.. some better then most. Life is not fair, its not fair at all. I love you and miss you and still can't believe yo are gone

Mark was such a strong person, direct, real, bold, driven from character, personality and presence. Hardworking, fit and logical. We will all miss Mark because somewhere somehow we have all been touched by his great heart and presence.
