Mark Brewer Obituary
He was a beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle and the best friend a person could have. An avid outdoorsman, he cherished all his time in the woods and at his camp, strumming his guitar and singing for all to hear. As an educator to youth in the building trades, he loved seeing these young people learn a trade and go out into the world and provide for themselves. Mark was a member of the Presque Isle Elks Club.
He is survived by his wife, Natasha Brewer of Presque Isle; mother, Connie Brewer King of Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada; son, Alex Brewer; daughter, Alisa Brewer, both of Presque Isle; brother, Mike Brewer and wife, Pam, of Houlton; two sisters, Linda Brewer of Houlton, and Cindy Unfusser and husband, Tom, of Texas; special nephews, Ryan and Scott Brewer, and James Unfusser; niece, Dawn Unfusser; great-nephew, Kyle Brewer; stepbrother, Steve McQueen of Houlton; stepsister, Gail Gagnon of Portage; and special friends, Dennis Dyer of Presque Isle, and Ryan Bushey of Houlton. He was predeceased by his father, Floyd Brewer.
Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, with Pastor Darren Bonville officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. Donations may be made to Natasha Brewer, 32 Oak St., Presque Isle, ME 04769, in support of his children's education fund. Can not believe it will be 5 years since you left us this month. I miss you dearly, especially the late nite calls from camp on Saturday nite or Sunday morning around mid-night. Mark,was a great person who was humormous and had a good spirit. Natasha and family, I send you my prays and you are in my thoughts. Mark was a great guy to be around and a wonderful co-worker. He can come into any room and make you day brighter. I can remember when I would go and inspect his shop, he was right there with me and just his presence made you feel safe and that he really cared about the safety off everyone around him. He will be terribly missed cuz I know I already miss him.

Mark was one of the best teachers I've ever had. To me he was more than an instructor he taught with the structure & expertise as a professor. He loved his students. He gave me a career something that at 19 I never had or thought of , because of mark I am now a college student and have my own place straight out of Jobcorps . He made me believe in myself and sent me off with life skills along with construction skills. he taught me so much about wildlife lol. He had a way of making some of the most boring things the most interesting. He joked around w. you as he was from the same generation. He would always catch on to the jokes & the catchy songs. Often I would always feel his old time jokes were much funnier?. Most of all he was caring & patient, laid back and understanding. I love you so much mark & I promise to make you proud. Natasha, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Mark was an awesome guy. I can still hear him strumming our guitar in the rec and singing along. He definitely made my Friday afternoons go by quicker. He will be sadly missed!

Natasha, and family, Mark was a great guy, and a good friend, to Jerry and I, when we both lived on Cooks Brook Rd. Floyd was our neighbor, but before he was married, he spend a lot of nights at our place, on the couch, and into our camp. He loved fishing, and hunting with Jerry, and Peter. He will be missed.... Natasha it is with a sadden heart that we send this message. We are so shocked and sorry for your loss. You and your family are in our prayers. Mark was a great guy who I wished I had gotten to know better. But some people you meet, you know instantly that they are golden. Mark was one of those people. He gave so much to those students and a visit to the shop was proof of that. He was one of those people that really cared, taught and wanted the best for all of them. Patty said more than once that she wished she had a hundred Mark Brewers. While it is hard to understand this, remember God has a plan.

Dear Brewers:
Although I had only met you (his family) once, I was a friend and associate to Mark. You may recall when our little kitten got lost, 5-6 years ago, and found its way to your house, Mark saw my lost poster, and called to say he found her. I always felt a connection to you all and Mark, and a great sense of appreciation.
Mark was a great guy, always with a smile and a helping hand. I fell so very sad for his family as I'm sure he was joy to be around and a good Dad and a wonderful husband. Because he was a great friend, someone who I always enjoyed running into and catching up.
I hope you find solace in knowing that Mark was well respected and loved by so many.
