My prayers are with the family at this time. I met Mark when I worked at Effingham Hospital. Whenever he came into a room he always made the day a little brighter and filled it with laughter. He will be sadly missed and know he is heaven watching down on everyone.

Kaye, Becca, Kayla, and family. My heart hurts. I know Mark is with Jesus and there is comfort in knowing that but I cry with you because I know you are hurting. God has a way of completely carrying you through these things. As he lets you down gently to walk on your own again in the days to come, remember to keep pressing into him and he will help you "press on." You will be together again. Love you all, especially sweet Becca. All our love and prayers. The Cheeks family

Mark's contributions to the Kingdom are notable - so proud of his accomplishments. Truck Stop Minisry is a star in his crown - he will lay it before Christ in love and honor.
So hard to understand why an active Christian dies so young - but our days are numbered before we are born. Now is time for someone to step up to work in his place.

It has been my pleasure to know Mark for several years. He was always smiling and upbeat. The last time I talked to him he was explaining how to cook hamburgers so they would be moist and delicious. I also remember him telling me about Apple Dapple Cake which he loved and gave me the recipe. Each time I make it I will think of Mark. I am praying for his family, I know he will be missed by all his friends, especially by his family.
May God comfort each of you at this time with the knowledge that he is with our Lord Jesus Christ, whom he loved.

Kaye, Just wanted to let you know that I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers. I remember sitting behind you and Mark one Sundat when we were attending Emmanuel Baptist and think ing what a great voice this man has. He should be singing in the choir, which he did later. Just think, now he's singing in the heavenly choir. He was a very kind, loving person and will be greatly missed.
