I am glad you are at peace. But memories of you flood my memory, and the sense of loss is profound.
I will always cherish our interaction and my memories of you.

With so few Servites left the loss of Father Dennehy is a great one. Let us pray for Father Dennehy and all the Servites who have passed on-that they all may enjoy the gift of peace with our lord.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I will always remember Fr. Mark for his strength & vitality. As a student at St. Philip in the 50's, I appreciated what Fr.Mark & Fr. Anselm did for me. As a teacher & coach at St. Philip in the 60's, working with them, I learned the value of being a compassionate & loyal teacher & coach.

We extend our sympathy to the family of Fr. Mark on his passing. Fr. Mark married Don and I in 1971 and baptized our son Kurt in 1979. He was a good friend to us during our years at Seven Holy Founders and we have many good memories, especially of Founders Footlites. He will be missed.

God blessyour family regarding the loss of Father Dennehy. I had the pleasure of being a part of the parish at Seven Holy Founders. He performed my marriage ceremony in 1973 and helped counsel through the heartbreak of the subsequent divorce and annullment process years later. His sense of humor, compassion and no nonsense when necessary was unforgettable. He will be remembered at mass at my parish St. Jude in New Lenox. Sincerely, Mary K. Thorpe

Father Mark touched so many of our lives over the years at Seven Holy Founders. Now he is having a great chat with Mavis (Pender) and Father Norbert Blasso, who have been waiting for him for some time. And Laurie, Mae Mack, Tom Caraher, Mae Stocker, Don Pender, Don Nielsen, and so many others connected to the Pender family. He performed weddings, baptisms, funeral services, anniversaries for all of us. He was a good friend and sorely missed. Father Mark, say hi to everyone who went before you and keep praying for all of us.

I was blessed to know Fr. Mark in the later years of his life on earth, and I regret I missed out on the rest because in addition to his obvious talents, gifts and achievements (which he never spoke about), he is just a great guy. Spending time with Father Mark was always like hanging out with someone who had much more life experience than I'll ever have, but his personal, friendly demeanor always made me feel special.
Among many enjoyable and interesting times we shared together, I'll alwasy remember the visit we made to a celebration at one of his previous parish assignments. The local bishop was also present, but as soon as Fr. Mark arrived (and he was gone from this parish for quite a long time), you would think the Pope just showed up. Many people, young and old, greeted him, embraced him, and recalled fond memories of their times together.
Fr. Mark, I love you and I'll miss you greatly; I'll think of you often, especially every time I go to the driving range and you're not with me.

Father played important part in shaping my life, when I attended St. Phillip HS in Chicago and he was the Principle. You can never know how well he could get a wise guy, like me, back on the right path, with a great right cross. I respected him then and still do; some 46 years later. I know he will find a honored place in heaven.

Last summer my wife & I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We were married by Fr Mark at Seven Holy Founders in Calumet Park, where he was pastor for many years. Fr Mark, you touched my heart in many ways and I will always remember the advice you gave me. Thank you.

The patriarch to our family is now serenely joined with his brother, Father Anselm, his beloved mother, Helena and his proud father, Daniel. You spent your life dedicated to God. No more could be asked of you. We will miss you!

I have so many fond memories of Fr. Mark. I worked at Annunciata school for 26 years and just recently left. I remember when Fr. Mark first came to Annunciata Church from Seven Holy Founders. We discussed his time there and we realized that he had been the principal of the school when my cousins had attended. Amazingly, he was very good friends with my aunt and uncle. We continued this friendship throughout all of my years at Annunciata. There were so many gatherings that we attended together, and sat and chatted and laughed. I had teased him about his love of wine.
I am very happy that I had the opportunity to know Fr. Mark, both professionally and socially. He was truly a wonderful person that will be missed by many, including myself. I know that God is now "holding him in the palm of his hand." God Bless you Fr. Mark!
