Mark Wayne Eggert of Mathis, Texas, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home in his sleep early the morning of January 29, 2025. Mark was born to Evelyn and Edgar H. His is survived by his sons, Boyce Eggert of Austin, Texas, and Benjamin Eggert of Beeville, Texas, his daughter-in-law, Lindsey Eggert, and his much-loved grandchildren, Bentley, Madelyn, William, Khloe, and Carter, as well as his sister, Carol Eggert Dinkins of Houston, Texas, and his brother, Richard Eggert, of Mathis, Texas.

For a time between his early years in college he was a professional photographer in Mathis.

Mark was a kind, generous, compassionate man who loved the law, was well-read, had a great sense of humor, and was devoted to his family and ever loyal to and caring of his friends. He enjoyed equipping and flying radio controlled aircraft, but his favorite hobby was woodworking. He enthusiastically and lovingly cared for the many canine members of his lifetime family. I worked at the San Patricio County courthouse for 14 years. I´d often see Mr. Eggert in the halls or in the courtroom. Always so nice and friendly and always said hi. Condolences and prayers to his family.
