Mark Erickson

Mark Dale Erickson, 71, of Morris, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Stevens County Hospital. There will be a memorial service in Mark's honor at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Hoffman, Minnesota. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Mark Dale Erickson was born on December 15, 1954, in Morris, Minnesota, to Elton and Mae (Burkey) Erickson. He was the 5th of 6 boys and was baptized and confirmed at Aeneas Lutheran Church. Mark attended school in Hoffman and graduated in 1973. After graduation, Mark furthered his education at Willmar Tech for ag production. He was employed by Thompson Insulation and worked on the family farm where he enjoyed working with the livestock. Mark lived on the family farm until 2017, then moved to a comfortable apartment in Morris.

Mark immensely enjoyed watching all sports. Having wrestled in high school, you would see Mark attending many high school wrestling events. He was also an avid fisherman and shared that hobby with his nieces and nephews. He was a kind person and made many friends at the Grandview Apartments where he lived.

Mark is survived by his brothers, Jim (Teresa) Erickson, Gerald (JoAnn) Erickson, Ron (Corinne) Erickson, and Tom Erickson, along with several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Mae, and a brother, Dan Erickson.
