Mark Fishel Obituary

Mark T. Fishel, 93, of Shiremanstown, PA, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025, in the Holy Spirit Medical Center. He was born November 14, 1931, in Seven Valleys, PA, to the late Lester Alfred and Ethel Viola (Henry) Fishel and was the widower of Jo Ann S. "Jo" Fishel who passed away in November of 2017.

Mark was a graduate of Glen Rock class of 1949 and was a Lycoming College graduate. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in Korean War. Mark worked for IBM as a Financial Analyst serving 29 years. He was a member of the St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Mechanicsburg, American Legion Post 109, and the Mechanicsburg Club.

Surviving are his two sons, Jeffrey E. Fishel (Cheryl) of York Haven and Craig S. Fishel (Christy) of Jersey Shore; grandchildren, Gabrielle Schindler, Kaitlyn Fishel, Elizabeth Fishel, and Air Force Airman Cameron Fishel; great grandson, Grayson Schindler; and sister, Joan Myers. In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his siblings, Alfred, Artus, and Carolyn Fishel.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, June 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the St Luke's Episcopal Church, 8 E Keller St, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 with Rev. Canon Kate Harrigan officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services and military honors will take place directly after services. Burial will be held in the St. Luke's Episcopal Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church, St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Arrangements are being handled by Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Mt. Holly Springs.
