Such a terrible loss, Mark was like a brother to me! We did not meet a lot of times, but whether it was in Canada or in Holland, it always felt very at ease and warm. Chantal and I are in deep shock and are thinking of all the Glaser-cousins, uncle Werner and especially Mary-Jane and Jude and their children. Our children Cecile and Laurens Jan also bring their deepest regrets, they feel intensely sad as well. MY deepest condolences to all of you at this time. I grew up with Mark, Rob, Eddie and Carl in Glamorgan. Everything you have stated in his eulogy is so true. Once again my heart and prayers are with you.

I knew Mark from when we were enrolled in Engineering at the U of A. It was a pleasure to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I came to know him through a number of "guy hikes" and proudly can say that he was my friend. I'm so glad I had an opportunity to spend such wonderful time on the trail with him.
