We're not Jewish but found Rabbi Golub to be an inspiring and educational voice for everyone. He was a wonderful example for all of us and I miss him a great deal as we continue to watch and enjoy JBS

In searching cable channels, about 2 months ago, I came across JBS and Rabbi Goldberg. Not knowing he had passed, I was more than impressed with his interviews of various figures. Amazing ability to capture the attention of viewers. Amazing also applies to him. Warn out phrase of someone being missed doesn´t work for me. Rabbi Golub, to me, irreplaceable. A true loss.

I have just recently become aware of JBS and have enjoyed Rabbi's teachings so much. They are a blessing.
I am saddened to hear of his physical death just today, so many months have passed since. I imagine he is missed by so many people for he was truly magnificent in all he has done.

I just heard of Mark Golub passing.
I first heard listened to his show when he interviewed the pilot from Wings of an eagle.
It was the most incredible interview I ever witnessed between him and the american pilot who helped Jewish people fly to Israel after ww2.
Mark showed deep respect for the man as he did always for the person he spoke to.
I am the better having known of him.
I will never forget him.

Rabbi Golub taught me to appreciate Jews and "Jewishness". He taught me to look beyond prejudice and one-sidedness. I am a devout Christian.

Rabbi Golub was one of my favorite television clergymen. I remember in middle and high school watching the National Jewish Television 3-hour block on the Interfaith Channel (which no longer exists) and I loved the channel. Sadly, they took National Jewish Television off the air in 2006. One of the highlights was L'Chayim. He had an amazing ability to talk to people of importance to the Jewish community. Then in 2010, I watched Shalom TV on YouTube and saw more L'Chayim and other Jewish shows. Beginning in 2014, I would watch a number of Jewish shows in tribute to the National Jewish Television (Jerusalem Online, The Leon Charney Report, L'Chayim, A Cable to Jewish Life, Hineni, Talkline's Jewish Music Countdown, and RTN) almost every Sunday and remember the memories of all the Jewish shows I would watch every Sunday. Unfortunately, we will never have another Rabbi Mark S. Golub and there will never be anyone like him. Z''l. May his memory forever be a blessing.

As a non-Jew, I watched with great interest his programs. I admired him greatly. I just learned of his passing one year late since I live out of the country in the wintertime. My heart is heavy with sadness having learned of his passing only today. God take you into his bosom and give you life everlasting. Michael Reilly, Washington, DC

I got to know Rabbi Golub over the years by watching JBS on Directv. Learning the Aleph-Bet from his teaching is so good! I just watched "L´Chaim" with him interviewing Abigail Pogrebin regarding her book, "My Jewish Year". I´m so thankful to have known the Rabbi before his passing. He was very gentle, kind & easy for me, a Yeshua follower seeking her Hebrew roots, to understand.
I pray comfort & peace for all his family & friends.
Shalom Shalom!!!

I just now learned of the passing of my best high school friend. We were out of touch for so many years but visited twice over the past 10 years. When I visited him last in 2015, he was the same caring, sensitive, loving man I knew in our high school years. Still working hard as a Rabbi and in his media work. I have missed having Mark in my life, think often of him and I among so many wish he was still with us.

We have followed, enjoyed and learned so much about
Judaism through Rabbi Golub and his loving and consistent and compassionate self. His teachings have been in our lives for 20 years so he is a mensch who will be missed very much. May his life be as a beauty memory; and let his enquiring and creative mind remain as the remarkable teacher he was. We love his kindness and ability to be open to all sorts of Jews both in Israel and here in the U.S. Thank you for being so open and so welcoming to all who loved you and we will keep your memory alive.

Rabbi Mark Golub was a monumental human who help my Jewish background become much more relevant to me. I will miss those wonderful interviews and heart felt conversations more than I can say. Everything about Rabbi Mark Golub was real and his thirst for knowledge captivated me. A treasure of a man and he will be deeply missed. My respects go out to his family and may this very dear soul rest in peace.

We discovered Rabbi Golub and JBS less than 10 years ago, and have become avid fans. We were especially grateful to have him in our lives during the pandemic. His gentle voice and inspirational programming help us stay connected during those lonely days. We were/are especially happy that JBS allowed us to stay connected to Cantor Daniel Mutlu and introduced us to all the wonderful clergy at Central Synagogue. Rabbi Golub will be missed

My mother, Irene Weiss, who is 102 years old was a huge fan and supporter of Rabbi Golubs. She had supported JBS because of him and 3 years ago Rabbi Golub called her at the request of Steven Greenberg and she was thrilled. She remembers him as a wonderful man. He will be terribly missed by many.

I stumbled upon Shalom TV, now JBS, 13 years ago when I was feeling pretty down. Watching Rebbetzin Jungreis, Jewish 101 and Aleph Bet by the Rabbi played a key part in my early Jewish education before I converted. I am now studying for my adult Bat Mitzvah. Rabbi Golub is a significant loss to all.

I have been a devoted fan of JBS for several years. My favorite program has been L´Chayim. I found Rabbi Golub to be a thoughtful, informed, warm, respectful interviewer. A real mensch! I would have loved the opportunity to meet him in person. The Jewish community has suffered an enormous loss. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

I first saw Rabbi Golub as I was turning channels.I came upon him as a was interviewing Peter Stookey of Peter, Paul, and Mary fame. It was a fabulous interview and I was hooked to Rabbi Golub from then on.His interviews were different from any interviewer I ever seen.He had the gift of having the interviewe feel comfortable and his contagious smile made the interviewer´s extremely educational and interesting.Yes, I surel will miss him, however, there is a stanza from Tennyson´s Ulysses that really fits this sad occasion. It goes like this,"I am a part of all that I have met." Yes, Rabbi Golub will always bea part of me and him. We may be ofe of different faith but in the eyes of God we´re all brothers and sisters.
God Bless you certainly will live on my heart.
God Bless you and thanks for sharing your talent with us

With great sadness we just learned about passing of Rabbi Mark Golub.
Great admirers of this extraordinary Man,
we will miss him.
His unique talents, his love of Jewish people and Israel, have been a guiding light for so many people around the world. His JBS programs brought joy, knowledge and entertainment, all through the highest commitment of serving Jewish people in Israel, America and people around the world, regardless of their nationality or religious affiliation.
He possessed wisdom and his ways where the ways of peace. He loved people and they loved him in return.

I never met Rabbi Golub in person but I feel as if I lost a friend. I looked forward to watching him interview and navigate speaking with politicians, scholars, authors, community and world leaders with such grace and elegance.
He was a true master of the art of conversation. He had a rare ability to connect with people, to draw out their stories.
Thankfully, his legacy will live on in the recordings and decades of work and memories of those he touched and in the countless lives he impacted through his work.
May his memory be a blessing and may his soul have an Alia.

I never met Rabbi Golub in person. However for the past several years I have been watching JBS daily and learning so much from him and his many esteemed guests. I look forward to L'Chaim every evening. He had such a wonderful neshama and he was such a mensch with every guest he sat down with. He was able to treat everyone with tremendous chesed, and respect no matter what their religious or political views. I have an extensive Jewish and religious background. However, my world was unbelievably expanded each time Mark interviewed his guest. He will be missed by millions. May your family cherish many wonder-filled memories.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Rabbi Golub´s passing. Although I live in Pennsylvania, I spent many high holidays at his Chavurah in Stamford with my sister and her family over the years. And the trip I took with him to Israel will remain one of the highlights of my life. Then there is JBS TV - what a gift to the world!

To both his family and his JBS family, I know your world has lost a shining light, but heaven has become that much richer. May the beautiful memories and constant reminders of happier days console you and ease your pain in the coming days

my condolences to the family of Mark Golub. He will be missed. Mark is the most generous and caring person I have ever met. I was privileged to be part of his softball family. He was a great competitor and allowed his team, 4 corners, which he said was assembled from the 4 corners of the earth, the ability to shine with him as our leader. Rest in peace.

Mere words are not sufficient to fully share the incredible impact on Jewish life that Rabbi Mark Golub had upon not just the two Chavurah (gathering) congregations in Greenwich and Stamford, but the whole of the United States and beyond. His knowledge and enormous creativity served to help him establish the Jewish Broadcasting System television network. He reached millions of beings with the network's wide range of informative and uplifting programming. Rabbi Golub had an incredible facility for not only reaching out to people of all backgrounds but he had the ability to reach into a person to bring out their most valued qualities and personality. He was a giant of man and he was able to touch so many, many people. He inspired, he motivated, he educated and he shared his enormous talents and skills generously up to the very end.... He will be so missed by so many. While we all mourn individually and collectively as is surely appropriate now, it is my prayer for his beloved family, congregations, followers and friends that in time we will be blessed with only the special golden, happier memories of better days/years we shared with this rare human being. Rabbi Golub´s L´ chayim interviews were insightful. I learned so much about Judaism, Israel, and perspectives on life events. He would challenge the interviewee on issues, but in a respectful manner. I am truly saddened by his passing.

My deepest condolences to Rabbi Golub's family.
I have been a devotee of Rabbi Golub for many years, watching him skillfully, artfully, and intelligently interview so many people from and within the Jewish world, on JBS. His love for the Jewish people and for Israel was so clearly demonstrated through his actions and his words. I learned so much from Rabbi Golub, and I have embraced my Judaism more closely as a result of being his 'student.' His humility and kindness radiated at all times. regardless of who he spoke to and regardless of whether or not he agreed with a position.
The Rabbi's passing leaves a deep hole in my heart. I pray that his memory will be a blessing for his family, collaborators, friends, and the many, many people around the world who have come to know and love him.
May Rabbi Mark S. Golub rest in eternal peace.
