Mark David Gottlieb

Mr. Gottlieb was the best officer I knew. He believed in finding the truth and worked tirelessly to follow clues and evidence. I am grateful to have known him for a short time. I wish I had thanked him more for working so hard on my case. He was an inspiration to me in my pursuit of criminal justice.

Jackie & kids, I am so very sorry for your loss, and for all of us who lost a wonderful friend. Always remember Mark's laugh, his love for his family and friends, and his love for serving and protecting the public. We were all so lucky to have had him in our lives. Margaret Chico-Eddy

Countless times I saw Mark's smile, doing what he clearly loved....being with his family. He was so very proud of you Jackie. Mark told me often of how strong of a person you are and just how fortunate he was to have you. The time I spent with Mark was wrapped around your kids. Doing homework in the car. Out on the field playing soccer and baseball. Walking the massive dogs! Waiting for kid activities to end. Not too many kids can say they have really ever known a man as special as Mark, let alone call him Dad. My heart goes out to all of you. From our kids to yours, "Mr. Mark was a cool guy.....". There was never anything more true.
