Mark Graham Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 18, 2025.
Mark Alan Graham, 73, passed away on March 16, 2025, at Merit Health Hospital in Mississippi after an unexpected complication from the flu. By God's grace he was surrounded by friends and family until the end.

Born on October 19, 1951, in Alexandria, Louisiana, Mark dedicated his life to the field of pharmacy. He graduated from Murrah High School before earning his degree from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. His career spanned decades, including time at Super D, Mississippi State Board of Health, and Mississippi Discount Drugs in Madison while simultaneously serving over 20 years at the University Medical Center. Mark was deeply passionate about his profession and was always eager to share his knowledge and experience with others including his daughter who followed in his professional footsteps.

Beyond his career, Mark had a deep love for fishing-of all types but especially saltwater fishing-and cherished every opportunity to be on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. His enthusiasm for the sport was well known, as was his signature response whenever asked how he was doing he would say, "I'd rather be fishing."

Mark's faith was a cornerstone of his life. A devoted member of First Baptist Church of Brandon, he found great joy in his church community and Sunday school class. Driven by his deep love for coffee he became a steward of his church's "coffee ministry" for many years. His love for Christ guided him throughout his life and brought him immense comfort and strength.

Mark proudly served as a Military Police officer during his time in the National Guard, demonstrating his commitment to service and duty.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pam Hyatt, who he was blessed to share the last 20 years of his life with. Also, his beloved daughter, Gloria Doty, aka "Fred" (IYKYK), and granddaughter, Avery Doty. He will also be mourned by his sister, Pamela Graham Bailey, and his former wife, Janet Aeschliman, the mother of his only child. He was also loved and adored by his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Beverly Graham, as well as his sister, Sharon Graham.

A memorial gathering will be held on March 20, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Brandon, Main Downtown Campus, 309 South College Street, Brandon, MS 39042. The family will receive guests from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service beginning at 3:00 PM.

Mark's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest peacefully in the embrace of our Saviour.
