In memory of
Michael Grimaldi
May 17, 2023
Sallie,
May you find comfort in knowing that Mark was an honest and trusted colleague who had a very positive impact on his varied business relationships. In sharing many experiences working together at General Motors, I valued his good friendship as he always offered his support.
May God bless you and bring peace to your family as you hold dear your wonderful memories of Mark.

Mark loved life and different cultures and he was curious and kind. With these traits, he always showed his interest in others. For me, he was a mentor, a boss, a great listener, and a man of few words advisor. His wisdom and wit impacted me more than he knew. Most of all he was my friend, at GM and at Toyota.
Mark rarely told a personal story that didn't include his family. Ben, I have a fun story to share with you when you are ready to talk.
The layers of grief of losing your husband and father will still be revealing themselves as time passes coming in waves, never disappearing. In some ways that's beautiful because he dwelled so deep in your heart. Take care of each other,
In sympathy, Julie and Nick Hamp

Mark was one of the most inspiring leaders that I had occasion to work for. He will be fondly remembered. The Hogan Family has my sincere condolences.

Mark was a big supporter of our efforts to start up an Electronics Group in Magna and put "brains" in our products. He was a relentlessly positive influence on doing what was right for the business. As one of my sponsors to join Oakland Hills I was always be grateful for sharing the same road for a period of time with Mark.

Mark was the consummate class act, and a wonderful human being. As fellow members at RedRun Club, and Oakland Hills country club along with being Brother Rice High School parents together, I never recall running into him and Mark not smiling and giving me a hug. I always admired the way he treated waiters and Caddies and janitors, etc. etc. -he treated them like equals and really believed that he was no better than anyone else. It was a privilege to be a small part of his life.

One of the auto industry's best leaders, gone from us too soon. It was my pleasure and privilege to work with Mark as part of the GM Family, and to share Theta sisterhood with Sallie as part of the Hanover College Family. May he rest in peace and live on as an example to all whose lives he influenced.
