Mark, after 3 years I hope you can see how many people love you and miss you. I can honestly say that I do miss you but I also know that you are watching over us, you are guiding me in making the right decisions and I do appreciate that. Please rest in peace and know that I think about you every day

Heyy Uncle Mark, I never knew you too well, but the times I would see you were nice. I had only seen you once while you were in the hospital, I'm glad I got to see you before you left, even though I never really fully knew you, it wouldn't have felt right if I hadn't, I had gone another time with mom and nanny, but you were peacefully sleeping. It still hasn't completely sunk in that you are actually gone, I wish I had more chances to get to know you. I will miss you, you left a big footprint in peoples lives, whom will miss you dearly. I'm glad you are at ease and up there with granny as you both watch over the family and keep us on the right path :) Love you!

I didn't know Mark, but his sister is my neighbour and the nicest woman i know, knowing this i just know how great and kind Mark must have been.
His hard battle is over now, happy he must be and is looking down on you's with the biggest smile and with his angel wings spread! Grieve yes, but just know, Mark will always be by your sides.

Dear Mark,

I married you 36 years ago not knowing what our life would be like. Well let me tell you, it was full of happiness and love. We have three beautiful and loving children. Please know that Dwaine, Jamie and Christine have been my rock since Oct 12/12. They have been there for me and I know they would have done anything to bring you back home healthy but it could not be done.

Mark throughout the ordeal you went through never once did you complain. You were a rock.

We have two grandchildren who were lucky enough to know their poppa and know how much they were loved by him. Please know that they will make sure Nadine will know her poppa through Laura and Glen.

You fought a hard fight. You kept us on our toes - ready to run to you when you needed us the most. You made fools out of the doctors more than once when they said it was your time to go. You were not going to go until you were ready. But guess what, as hard as you fought near the end, Mom fought harder. She kept trying to tell her stubborn first born to let go of the pain and suffering cause she was waiting for you with open arms. Finally you heard her and you are now with her. Cuddling together and looking down on the rest of you family as they go through this trying time. I know when it is my time, you will be one of the first in line waiting to greet me. Someday, I will see you again. I miss you and love you.

I remember when I was young how he would send home books, mostly comic, for us to read. I remember the joy our family felt when news would arrive that he was on his way home for Christmas or some other reason. I remember always looking up to him even when I became taller then him.
