My late husband and I moved to The Gables in Lexington from Texas and even before we moved in we met Mark and Eileen. We became fast and close friends! I can not put into words how they both cared for us and our family as we dealt with Tom´s illness and eventual death. Mark kept an eye on the house... even filled the water softener a time or 2 while we were in hospitals. They were truly Jesus with clothes on to us! After Tom passed, I will never forget Mark telling me if I heard a noise or got scared to call him, day or night and he would come running! He and Eileen got me through the hardest time of my life and I am forever grateful for their love and friendship. He was such a dear friend and my heart aches for Eileen and the whole family! May God hold you all in the palm of his hands and give you that peace that passes all understanding!

I first met Mark working with his father and then with him. He was a Chief in Mansfield and I was in Toledo. Mark was my best friend in the military and I always look to him for guidance when I needed assistance with something in our career field. I have and will always miss those skull sessions work through common issues. I will always remeber when Mark would come to Toledo and we would go to lunch at Loma Linda's Mexican resturant, Mark would aways order a burger, never mexican.

I will miss Mark! Many decades ago I was one of Mark´s pastors. We were both young, starting new families, etc. but members together of the same church. I approached him one Sunday morning if he might be interested in sharing the chaperone responsibilities taking a group of high school students on a mission trip to the Navajo Indian Reservation. After answering some of his questions he said "Yes." Our church had received an invitation to come to Arizona, meet up with a native-American who would lead us onto the reservation. Once there we were to help repair damage done the homes called hogans of several families. In return we would be immersed a bit into the culture of the Navajo. We rented a Winnibago RV, rounded up a few older youth and drove to the home of Arizona Navajo, Gus Greymountain, a member of the Native-American Council. There is too much to tell except that Mark and I became the best of friends on that trip, a friendship that has lasted more than 40 years. My wife and will miss Mark! God be with you Eileen and the family,

Mark's Family & Friends -
Sorry to learn of Mark's passing. Knew Mark for many years during our Air Guard days. Would sometimes see him after retirement. He was always a most pleasant person to speak with and a helper to all. My condolences to all.
