I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. Though we hadn't been in touch in a long time, Mark was my best friend throughout most of my childhood. He was a really remarkable, energetic, and loyal friend - whether that was playing basketball outside throughout the coldest, snowiest nights (I would be losing 85% of the time, but we kept going), watching Caddyshack +300 times over a single summer at the cabin, or obsessively playing pretty much any sport - Mark is pretty much in every happy memory I have from being a kid. I am so sorry for this loss and I am thinking of all of you.

I have many happy memories of Mark, from playing wiffleball with all the cousins out in Anoka, to basketball on the driveway on 49th (where he showed his uncle which of the two of us could jump higher and shoot better), to watching his amazing skill at Tetris, and to seeing the great relationship he had with his daughter Anna. I introduced Mark and Anna to the strategy game "Ticket to Ride" which is based on building networks of trains. About two months later, I came back to play the game against them. They left me behind at the train station--a very sharp duo! I will always remember Mark with a smile.

We are so sadden to hear that Mark passed away. We have many memories of the fun times we shared with Mark and all of your family when we were side by side neighbors on Knox Avenue and beyond. Mark and Jim were the best of buddies. We were just reminiscing about Mark and Jim the other day while watching our 14 yr old grandson roughhouse with his dog. May you find peace in all of your memories. Holding you all in our thoughts.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. He had a special sense of humor, and we have many memories of him playing in the neighborhood as a child, and he was fast on his big wheel!
Remembering you and Mark today and always.
And thank you for posting such great photos.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Mark was a great friend, coworker, and mentor to me. I will always appreciate what he had done for me. I will always remember all the great memories we had. He will never be forgotten. I know he’s in a better place now. Rest In Peace my friend. Until we meet again.
Sincerely,
Bo
