Mark Krofssik Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 21, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts we share the passing of Mark Samuel Krofssik on March 17, 2025. Mark passed away at the age of 59 in Danbury, Connecticut, leaving behind his wife of twenty-four years, Renee Krofssik, as well as his extended family. Born on October 15, 1965 to beloved parents Harry Krofssik and Margaret Parker in Bridgeport, Mark was the eldest of three children, including brothers David and Daniel and sister Madison.

Mark grew up in a quiet neighborhood in Monroe, Connecticut. He enjoyed an idyllic childhood, playing with his brothers and the neighborhood children. He attended Fawn Hallow and Chalk Hill Middle School, then went to and graduated from Henry Abbot Technical School in Danbury in 1984. In his teenage years, Mark began volunteering as a firefighter in Monroe. Soon after graduation, he became an EMT with AMR Bridgeport and Monroe EMS for over twenty years.

Mark was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. A few of his favorite pastimes included watching Nascar and the NFL and spending time playing with his beloved dog Harley.

Mark is survived by his wife Renee, his brother David, his wife Cathy, his two children, Justin and Molly; his brother Dan and his two children, Kelli and Jake, and his sister Madison and her husband Ivan.

While the loss for our family is great, we know Mark is reunited with both his mother and father. The family plans to hold a private ceremony in his honor.

Mark never complained about his illness and fought a great fight for years he never gave up. He was well liked @ Fairway Acres and well appreciated. I've meet Mark here 7 years ago as the maintenance guy. I myself over tbe year's became friends with Mark and had visited him @ various facilities he always was laughing and smiling. I enjoyed bringing Jason and talking to him. He'll certainly be missed by myself.
My sincere condolences go out to Renée and his family.

Mark was a great neighbor, boss and of course friend!!! I will remember Mark for all the good times we shared working together. When I had visited him the last couple of years he was always happy to see me. I've know Mark for 10 year's and he always looked out for me. I knew his loving dad Harry too as he lived in the complex with us. I would talk to him and being Italian he always had something for me to eat!!! My sincere condolences go out to Rene & his siblings and family.
