Mark Allen Lenz

Mark was an incredible man, great Christian and beloved neighbor. Heaven gained a saint!!

I had the pleasure of serving on COE Accreditation Teams with Mark and talking with him at COE annual meetings. He always had a great attitude and was genuinely interested in Technical Education programs. His passion for students reaching their educational goals was evident. My prayers and thoughts are with his family.

One great guy!! We loved him !

I had the opportunity to work with Mark over a number of years on the TCAT-Nashville Advisory Committee in addition to specific workforce initiatives, boards, and committees. He deeply cared for the students, staff and faculty at the college. His enthusiasm and energy to continually improve the resources and programs for students was contagious. Mark will be missed in the higher education community and by the many individuals he touched. I will always remember Mark's passion for technical education and supporting student success. Mark's passing has left a very big hole in the fabric of our community. I will miss him very much. Heart strength to his family during this difficult time.

Mark was always so happy when I asked or he asked for me to come over and present at the TCAT Nashville. He always made me feel like more than a colleague, he made me feel as his friend. He would always call me into his office and take so much time just to talk and see how I was doing, and my family. We presented at a conference once together and he encouraged me so much. I live in Northeast Tennessee and traveled back and forth each week for 11 years and Mark always felt bad for my family and I doing that. I will never forget how he worried and said he would find a position for my wife, who works at TCAT Elizabethton, so we would not have to be apart every week. Mark was full of the Lord and His love and showed it. I wish I could have been there more for him. I will have you Jolette, and your family in my prayers always. Can't say enough about Mark but so thankful to know him. He made a difference in so many lives. I will never forget Mark.

I had the privilege of working with Mark to advance TCAT opportunities for Robertson County students and residents. A caring and kind-hearted man, he truly had a passion for offering training and educational opportunities for those who wanted to pursue a meaningful and productive career. His loss will be deeply felt in our community. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Every time I saw Mark, he had a smile on his face and a kind word to say. It was a blessing to know him. I will truly miss him.

My prayers go out to the family of Mr. Lenz. That the Lord will wrap you in His arms and give you peace and strength through this difficult time. What a privilege it was to work for Mark Lenz. He was so kind, friendly, funny and a great man of faith who loved the Lord Jesus Christ. You sure will be missed my friend. But we will meet again. Mark was always friendly and caring for other. He made a difference in the lives of many.

Mr. Lenz has been a wonderful boss and friend. His belief and granting second chances was remarkable. He was always open to listening to suggestions for improving programs and services. He will be greatly missed.

Mark was a great man. His leadership at TCAT Nashville was essential in starting our TCAT programs in Robertson County. He has had an impact on a large number of students. I will miss working with him. Prayers for the family during this difficult time.

I met Mark in the ETSU leadership program. He was always smiling, funny, and had great stories to tell! Sending prayers to the Lenz family!

You will be missed my friend. You were always happy and you loved others. You were a great advocate of technical education and TCAT Nashville. You were passionate about family and faith. Life will not be the same without you. God bless your family as they mourn your loss. I look forward to seeing you again someday.

I pray you can rest in peace. I keep re-reading our last conversations from an email and a text. Within both communications we talked about God. I know you will thrive on the other side. The last thing you said to me was some of the best advice I have ever received. "The man who remains clam controls the argument, the one who control the argument wins!!!!" Thank you and God bless you and your family.

Mr. Lenz will be greatly missed. He was always smiling and would help you anyway he could. Will miss his funny stories and jokes. Heaven gained a great man. May his family have comfort and peace in knowing he is in a better place and free from pain.

Mark was a very kind and loving man. He could empathize with anyone going through a trial. It's been an honor to know him and to work on his TCATN Team.

Mark was always so positive and friendly. He was a pleasure to know. He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Lenz was a boss one will never forget. He always said, "Here comes trouble!" when we met in the hall. He would even say it to visitors to the school and then give one of his infectious laughs. I will miss him so much. Rest well until we meet again.

I will miss you my friend, enjoy those streets of gold and the beauty and awe of it all. We will meet again.

Mr. Lenz was just so kind and personable. He always had compassion and spoke with great care to me whether talking about work or asking about me and my family after my son passed away.
I liked his stories and jokes and he always made me smile.
My thoughts and prayers are of his family and friends and all he was acquainted with. It was a pleasure to know him, and I know he made the world a better place. He will be missed greatly.

I worked as a rep. For Snap on tools for 31yrs.
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to interact with Mark and his staff at TCATN or a regular basis. He was a fine man and one who I strongly believe I can call a friend, not just a customer. He will be missed by all of those who’s lives he touched, and I for one will be,
one who he effected.

Dear Mrs. Lenz and family,
My deepest, sincerest condolences to all of you. Mr. Lenz is one of the kindest, strongest, intelligent, and most caring man I was blessed to know and work for. TCAT-N will never be the same without him. I can’t fathom how painful this has been for all of you. But have faith in knowing Mr. Lenz had great faith with all he did and it has led him home to no more suffering. He is at peace finally and you ALL have the strongest, greatest, most loving Angel in Heaven watching over you!!
