Mark Lovett Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 10, 2017.
Mark G. Lovett, 50, was born in Texarkana, Texas to Jimmy and Janelle Lovett. His heart unexpectedly failed, but he lives on in ours. He was a graduate of Atlanta High School in Atlanta, TX, and went on to study engineering and fishing, both of which he had a natural ability for. Mark loved to tinker with all things mechanical, he loved to fish, and ride motorcycles, do all sorts of creative projects and artwork, and he enjoyed spending time with his many friends from the Rodessa area as well as his extended family of friends in San Antonio, TX. His constant companions, and source of great joy, were his faithful little dog, Lil Man, and his loving wife Penelope Makar Lovett. He is survived by his wife, Penelope Lovett, his grandmother Deanie Lovett , father Jimmy Lovett, stepmother Jimmie Lovett, mother Janelle Lovett, brother Mike Lovett , and son Christopher Mark Lovett and beautiful daughter, Kristin Lovett, as well as many nieces and nephews and loving friends too numerous to name. Marks skill as an artist, his warmth and loyalty as a friend, and his joyful nature will be celebrated at a memorial in San Antonio, TX later this spring. For memorial details, and to attend the memorial, please contact MJ at [email protected] In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation to the charity of your choice in Marks honor.

We are having your memorial today Mark, old friend. Your girl is devastated, as we all are. Man, you are sorely missed. It has some folks acting right silly, but you know all that, brother. I know you are watching over us all, and your friends are all truly trying to honor your wishes and your life today and every day. Marko, I made you pralines. They are never going to be the same without you here to enjoy them. Love you man.

I am truly heartbroken to say farewell to such a special friend. Mark was a fun-loving guy with a great sense of humor, but also smart and kind and crazy in love with Penny. One of my fondest memories was when Mark showed me this miniature cannon he had in the backyard of their house in Louisiana. He was showing me how it functioned and fired it off. It was so loud that the neighbors thought a mobile home had exploded and they all ran out to see what was going on. Not a good time to meet the neighbors! Mark will be missed so much. Penny, I am here for you any time; day or night. I love you my sister.

Mark was a good, kind man. I am shocked and saddened by his death and my heart breaks for Penny and his friends & family. I loved the way he loved my sister. And I will miss him.

Mark was a dear and treasured friend. We will cherish all the memories of fun times with he and Penny forever. He was a gentle, creative, funny and kind man. I hate that he had to leave so soon. Penelope, our hearts break for you. You will see him at the clearing at the end of the road one day.
