Mark Alan McGrath

Mark was born on August 20, 1959 and passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the age of 56. Mark was a resident of North Las Vegas, Nevada at the time of his passing. He was surrounded by his wife Jennifer and son Michael. Mark was born in Hawthorne, California to Roy Joseph McGrath & Doris LaVerne McGrath (Johnson). He grew up in California and graduated from Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta in 1976. Upon graduating, Mark enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served his country from 1976-1979. He relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where he married Jennifer Dicku on the fourth of July in 1991. Together they raised two sons, Michael & Jesse McGrath, and a daughter, Kassandra Bizauskas. They will miss their father dearly. Mark was preceded in death by his beloved father Roy McGrath of Lompoc, California, and grandmother Bernice Valgren, also of Lompoc, California. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer McGrath (Dicku) of Las Vegas, children Michael, Kassandra and Jesse, his mother, Doris McGrath-Hale (Johnson) of Lompoc, California, his brothers Wesley McGrath of Lompoc, California, Buster McGrath & Billy McGrath of Charlotte, North Carolina, his sisters Charlene McGrath-Bayes of Washington D.C., Karin McGrath Johnson of Shreveport, Louisiana and his granddaughter Anastasia Bizauskas of Las Vegas. There will be a Memorial Service at the Chapel with military honors afterwards on Monday June 6, 2016 at 12:40 pm at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, Nevada. All are welcome to attend. At Nojoqui Falls in Santa Barbara County, California, there will be a celebration of Mark's life on Sunday, May 29th at 10 am. Nojoqui Falls was one of his favorite places for Easter Sunday with his extended, beloved family of McGrath's and McNamee's, numerous friends over the years.
