Monks' favorite verse that he shared with everyone is John 3:16. He wanted everyone to know about the healing love of God that he found through his faith in Christ.

If you would, in his honor, read it and remember his profoundly loving heart and generous spirit, and thank our Lord that He lent him to us for 66 years.

I knew Mark since grade school. Years later we discovered our mutual interest in the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson and their great music. The last time we talked in 2015 we were discussing Brian's latest CD and the amazing bass parts we heard.

Mark and my father shared the same birthday and we always laughed at how that made him a little more special than my other clients. When my father passed in October Mark showed how special he was with his love and support. I was honored to have helped him with his recent home purchase, not only gaining a client but a friend. To know Mark was a blessing. My sincerest sympathy goes out to Mark's family.
