Mark Neeley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 17 to Feb. 28, 2024.
Mark "Tank" Alan Neeley, whose journey down life's highway came to its final rest stop on February 7, 2024, at the age of 59 in Dover, Tennessee. He was a man whose heart was as big as his CB radio handle suggested. Born in Monroe, WI, on August 21, 1964, Tank was known for having a tough shell but was truly a gentle giant with a heart of gold, always ensuring his loved ones' cargo of love and care was fully delivered.

Tank leaves behind a convoy of family who will miss his larger-than-life presence: his wife, Tina Neeley; daughter, Courtney Neeley; stepchildren, Brittney, Nicholas, and Nathan; his mother, Sylvia Neeley; his brothers, Adam Neeley and Eric (Julie) Neeley; and a sisterhood of Amy Neeley, Carol (Gary) Campbell, Holly (Steve) McGaw, Polly (Clayton) Tankersley, Penny (Damian) Dunlavey, Dixie (Kirk) Hovland, and Jill Neeley. His life's journey was enriched by many grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and his very special cousin Jessica (Sean) Horner. Tank's convoy has lost a few rigs along the way, with his father Melvin, brother Andy, sister-in-law Denise, and nephew Colin having already taken the exit ramp.

On the road of life, Tank was an over the road truck driver, sharing the driver's seat with his best fluffy buddy, Tank Junior (TJ). Tank didn't discriminate on the number of wheels or size of vehicle, as he also had a great passion for Harley motorcycles. When he wasn't hauling loads across the country, he was hauling cheers and jeers for the Packers and Badgers, or hitching his wagon to a star in an old Western movie.

The final dispatch for Tank's celebration of life will be announced at a later date. It's sure to be a gathering with more spirit than a truck stop on a Friday night. Keep your ears on for the call, and remember to keep the shiny side up in honor of Tank's memory.

My best friend tank and I first meet at wel companies in 2015 were we become instant friends and never looked back. He was my right hand man for everything for just a shoulder to cry on when I was down and even just best trucker buddies. We both had our struggles in life but funny thing was he first told me he was from greenbrier Tennessee but a few days later told me he was born and raised 30 minutes away from were I grew up in hollandale wi. Such a small world. My few great memories of him was us all going too the badger game and having a blast and even more recent I couldn´t have been prouder of me asking him to be in mine and my wife´s wedding to where he won´t admit it but he cried a little. He´s to strong to admit he cried.
I love you buddy forever life isn´t the same without you and I´m glad u took great care of tj aka tank jr. rest easy brother and I´ll keep these wheels turning as you watch over me brother.
I love u tank
