I worked with Mark in Gardez, Afghanistan at the RTC. Mark was a well mannered, very knowledgeable person who was always fun to be around. We spent many hours together in the gym as well. My condolences go out to his family.

I just learned of my old friends passing. I have many fond memories of our time together in Afghanistan at the Regional Training Center, Gardez.
Being in charge of a group of type-A personalities as is normal of US police and military personnel, it was like Herding Cats.
But Mark was one of the kinder spirits I encountered over there and always could be sought out for a word of advice.
He called me Commander, but I always thought that it should have been the other way around.
Rest In Peace brother. See you at the last great jump.
