Framers and department managers have come and gone, but for the past 8 years, Mark and I have been a team in the shop. We not only shared a counter and tools, we shared jobs. Shadowboxes mostly. He didn't like to sew...so I did that, I didn't like to build the box, so he did that. We were a great team!
On one hand, Mark was very professional and detailed about his work, and on the other hand he lived life saying he would never grow up!! The best of both worlds!
Mark had many great friendships...because he was a great friend! We'll miss you buddy!

I remember Mark from high school. He was a thoughtful, smiling and caring person. He will be sorely missed... I still can't believe it. Love and God bless to those who knew and loved him the most.

I will always remember Mark, from his friendly how you doin, his smile and his great laugh, that was all his own.
We spent our teen years growing up together, there wasn't a party that we did not include the Parrish brothers. I'm sure they are together now, looking out for the rest of us. I always admire and enjoy Mark's fine works of art. We will miss you!!

I met Mark at a Michael O'Brian show. I will always remember the smiles, laughter and fun that I had with him. It is not going to be same without you Mark. I love and miss you.

Mark was always able to bring a smile to peoples faces and help them embrace who they were. He was EXTREMELY talented and kind hearted. I will miss him at the Michael O'Brian shows dancing the night away.

Mark and I where friends since I was in the sixth grade. We worked at the Carrolltown church bingo together for many years. We were also in the band together. He was one of the many March birthdays that several of us celebrated together. Mark was one of the best friends I have ever had and I will always be grateful for that. He will always have a special place in my heart and I will miss him deeply. God bless you.

Our family lived up the street a few houses from Mark's when we were kids. We spent alot of time together on bike rides etc., during the summer. He touched alot of people's lives from Tuesday night bingo to Gang Show. Any time I saw Mark he always greeted me with a smile and a hug. When I see a rainbow I'll know it's another beautiful piece of art sent to us from him. God bless you Mark, you'll be greatly missed.

I met Mark around 1987 at a Carrolltown Firemens Jubilee. I contacted him several years later to do a pencil sketch for my mom of her homestead. Several years later when working on writing the Carrolltown Sesquicentennial Book, Mark generously gave me old photos to use in the book. I saw him last in November at the Johnstown Inn enjoying the Michael O'Brian Band. His talents and goodness will greatly be missed.

Rose Marie and family,
I was so shocked and saddened by the news of Mark. Although I haven't seen him in a few years, I haven't forgotten all the fun we all used to have growing up and especially working at Bingo together. There really isn't enough space on here to talk about all the good times we had or what a wonderful, thoughtful, and caring person he was.
I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are will all of you.
Thank you Mark for blessing us with your talents, your compassion toward others, and for being a great friend.
You will definitely be missed.

We are so saddened to hear of Mark's death. Our family got to know Mark at Michael's and were later lucky enough to receive the gift of one of his paintings. The painting is of our family business in Windber, Leone's Market. It was given to us by a dear relative, Barbara Havrilla...and we have always treasured it---now we will even more. Mark framed all our families diplomas and important documents. He will be FOREVER missed. What a sweet person with such huge talent!!! The obituary was so true..heaven needed an artist...they certain got one! Our families thoughts are prayers are with you!

Mark was an extremely patient and understanding teacher. I wish I had more time to learn the framing trade from him. He brought such a fresh view to the process. He was a very "colorful" person. He will be sadly missed.

We met Mark through the Michael O'Brian Band, and knew him to be a good-hearted and talented man. His many friends bear testament to the same. We'll be raising a pint to you, Mark. God bless.
