Just found out about Mark... as I ran into Raymond Perks yesterday. So sorry--so sad, BUT so fortunate to call him a friend.
Also in the paint business---I knew him as a customer---and truly enjoyed every time we got to see each other.
Feel good to have met most of the family also--you have to admire the Perks Clan.

I miss Mr. Perks every day. I take comfort that he is making jokes in the great beyond about us all right now.

My deepest sympathy to Mark's sons, Kyle and Aaron, Mark's family and friends. One never came upon Mark without seeing his smile, his never ending positive attitude and love of life. It was an honor to know Mark. My boys adored him. He had a heart of gold and now is an Angel in Heaven. Rest in Peace Mark.

Mark and I grew up together in Rootstown, OH. He even lived with our family for a brief time. I will remember his positive spirit, quick with a (loud) laugh, and great sense of humor. Mark will always have a place when I look back at those precious days in Rootstown. I am proud to have been his friend. May God bless and watch over his family during these difficult times.

Mark was important, and will continue to be, as a guiding force in many of our lives. More than just being an advocate for ‘Greek Life', Mark was an advocate for life itself, and its greatest proponent. More than anything, Mark instilled in all of the young lives he impacted a sense of balance. He knew how to set limits and he understood how to work with those of us that liked to break them. By acting as a friend and ‘good brother,' we accepted Mark as our mentor. He will be truly remembered. In Zax, -- david

I had the pleasure of working close with Mark during 2013. A few days a week Mark Joined Gary Bast, his friend Craig Smith and I for a workout each week. Mark was trying to better himself physically and become healthier. You guessed it, I was Mark's personal trainer for a brief time. He always brought a dynamic sense of humor to the workouts. He expressed how much he didn't wan't to break a sweat and that he knew it was for the best. Underneath he acknowledged that he appreciated my care and concern for his well being. Mark will be missed by a lot of people. Friends, family, and clients will think of him from time to time with a smile of a good memory Mark brought to their lives.

There simply are no words for the feeling of loss in this world. Mark was one of the few men of true character and integrity I have ever known. His wit, intuition about people and dedication to family and friends were amazing. I wish I had more time to learn from this guy...
