So Sorry to hear the passing of Mark - We played many years of softball together. We were good friends on and off the field.I was amazed at his talent. He always had a great laugh and smile and just a great guy to be around. I have great memories of Mark and always will. You are missed so much- until we meet again.

Lighting The Path

My Hero My Brother, I sit and wonder how to put into words how much your presence in my life made part of me who I am today, and I realize no words are needed as you already know this!! You will forever walk threw this world with me all of my days and yes my sweet dear brother I shall be with you one day and we shall have one big bonfire with our fav tunes playing while we sing along, until then just know I will be there for mom always but you already know that to ,, you given so much of yourself to me always and endlessly and for that my brother I will continue my journey with you in my heart every step of the way,, never needing to say the words between us for this bond we share is ours and shall stay ours

So sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I had the pleasure of working with him at SVC. I will remember him as a friendly and kind hearted man. My sympathy to his family.

I was saddened to hear of Mark's passing. I don't know if you remember me as I haven't seen any of you in ages except Mark. I was Lisa Madden. My husband played softball so over the years I still saw Mark. I will never forget his beautiful eyes and smile and most of all the warmth you felt when she shined those on you. My love to all of your family.

My deepest condolences go out to Mark's family. The expression is often over used but Mark truly would give you the shirt off his back. He was a true gentleman and I am glad I was able to get to know him over the last few years and I proud to have called him a friend. Rest in peace buddy, you'll be missed.

Although the years have escaped us & we haven't spent much time together I will always treasure the memories I hold from our childhood. R.I.P. Mark..love to you all..

Mark, you always kept me from being homesick by talking out the steelers cowboys debates with me. Thanks for all the kind words and long night conversations. Sad to see you leave right before I'm headed back to visit. You will forever be "big mark" in my Eyes. See you again someday.

Dear Friend

I sit here trying to find the words to say I'll see you once again,
But the tears that fill my eyes blur the words I've written down.
What happened to the days when we were so carefree?
We used to dance and play as if there was no end, we'd tease and laugh about the stupid things we did, we were invincible then.
You were a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a grandfather and a friend and you did them all so well with such pride, what will we all do without you until we meet again?
You honored your country, your family and your life. You took everything that was dealt to you and made the best of life, you brought all such joy and laughter. I look at your family and I see such caring and love, you were their hero, and that is no surprise, you always made time for my boys and I, we were so very blessed. I'd call you up and tell you my woes and you would make a joke, and we would end up laughing cause I am such a dope. You took the complicated and made it easier to see how simple life is when you focus on the need. The Barbie shoes are history I have no need for them, it's just a simple life without the frills and bobbles that in the end you won't need.
So in the end of this life, please remember me, I wish that I could save you, as you always did for me. I have truly been blessed some just don't understand, for in this life few friends will form a bond so special that throughout the years endured a lot of hardship and trust and fun, sometimes very few words. I will cherish this special friendship all throughout my life and hope to see you when I reach the other side, and I bet you‘ll be dancing in the sky.

Big Mark was an amazing caring person. I was a student at SVC from 2006 to 2011. He made me feel safe, he listened and gave great advice. He made me feel like an equal. He will always have a place in my heart. To his family, I am so sorry for you loss. He will be truly missed by this alumni mountaineer.
