Mark Julius Schoenebaum

I first met Mark in High School during our participation in the Des Moines Youth Symphony Orchestra. While we had many memories around classical music and concerts, our friendship of running around West Des Moines with fireworks will never be forgotten. Mark was genuine, kind and talented. While we may have drifted apart after high school I always thought the world of Mark.

I would not have guessed he´d become a NY fan after being a staunch St Louis Cardinals fan with his dad,

I just found out, November 16, 2020, that Jack passed away. I worked with him for 2 and 1/2 years at The Kroger Co. in Cincinnati Ohio. Jack was a GOOD guy and a very fair and understanding boss.

Mark was an amazing human being. Generous with his time, knowledge and humor. Never a braggadocio and had every reason to be. He was kind to everyone!! He adored his family and would talk about them all the time!! I am deeply saddened to learn about his passing. He truly made this world a better place with him in it." When I was at Elsevier Business Intelligence, Mark always had time for my calls. He was a mensch, an extraordinary analyst, and a truly funny guy.

I had the honor of working with Mark with various biotechnology companies I worked for. I recently spoke with him. He was a genuine person who helped many companies developing therapeutics for many unmet medical needs. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He will always be remembered.

I am so sorry for Steve and Marry on the loss of there son. My prayers go to his wife and children, siblings and his parents. I know that at the loss of a son is very trauma setting. We do not expect to bury or children. I know because I also lost my son of 46 years and share your grief. I remember his friends, goals, and achievements daily as a tribute to his life.
