MARK VAN HORN Obituary
MARK S.
Age 59, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, passed away suddenly on March 4, 2018. Son of the late Paul and Martha Van Horn; brother of Scott (Tammy) Van Horn and Brian Van Horn; uncle of Ashley (Rob) Gardner and Austin (Faith) Van Horn; great- uncle of Nathaniel and Theodore Gardner. Mark enjoyed glassmaking, history books, all kinds of trivia, creative writing, watching Pittsburgh sports teams, hanging out with his friends, and babysitting Nathaniel and Theo. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and especially his great-nephews who were one of his greatest joys. Memorial service will be held at Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church on May 12, 2018, at 1 p.m.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to the family. Mark was a classmate of mine from elementary school through H.S. I have not seen him for many years, but I have fond memories of him from my youth.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I have fond memories of Mark (and brother Scott) from our High School days, and had hoped to see Mark again at our 40th Reunion in 2016. My deepest sympathy to the entire family.

Marko Rolo! The one event in life that we actually wanted you to be tardy for, and you're painfully early! I think I speak for many when I say we shall all miss your colossal presence, that included much jocularity, camaraderie, laughter, good cheer, and good conversations about events in the world. We shall miss your not being at our gatherings with the usual crew at ballgames, at the favorite pubs and dining establishments, and at other events. But mostly, we shall miss your ever present positive outlook in the face of the adversities that life sometimes brings. No more problems with those adversities, my friend. Find peace, joy, and much laughter and good cheer in heaven.
