We were so shocked to hear of Mark's passing. Although Mark had an unbelievable tennis game, what we will remember most is how caring and kind he was with our son Zachary. Mark went to a Pitt game with us this past season and after, my wife and I couldn't stop talking about how Mark treated our son. He held Zachary's hand while in crowds and watched over him like he was his own. He had such a gentle heart with children and he will be sadly missed. Our deepest condolences to the entire Weinberg family. We are so sorry for your loss.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Weinberg and Lisa,
Our deepest sympathies. I was always happy to see Mark come into Glen Creek. While I only got to play tennis with him once he was a joy on the court. His tennis was amazing, but his kindness even more amazing. He will be missed at Glen Creek very deeply.

My deepest condolences to the Weinberg Family. I always was happy to see Mark show up on Mondays when I was hitting with Jay Buncher. Mark was a kind, gentle, and humble man. His tennis volleys were simply the best. I'm going to miss him.

I was stunned and shocked to hear of Mark's passing this morning. I knew Mark from playing tennis with him and against him for over 5 years and knew him as a great sportsmen and competitor who loved to play with all players. I sensed he loved his family and enjoyed playing mixed doubles and winning all the time with his sister Lisa. He will be missed by the Pittsburgh Tennis community especially those at Mt. Lebanon and Glen Creek. I will miss that image of Mark walking up to the tennis hut at Mt. Lebanon with two racquets in his hand and a can of new tennis balls, wearing his grey T-Shirts, on most summer evenings after work waiting to play with Jay Buncher, Paul Schneider, John Tulley and or whoever wanted to hit some.
