We were so deeply saddened to hear of Mark's passing. Mark was such a great guy and was loved by all. He will be so greatly missed. The St. Bart's Halloween party, especially the raffle, with Mark at the megaphone, will never be the same! Our thoughts and prayers are with you every day. It's been forever since I saw Whitey but I definitely remember his joyous ways. He lived life out loud and I'm sure he's got quite a ruckus going upstairs at this point. He will be missed and remembered always as one of the great STA people. I wish you all warm memories and know that you are in our prayers.

My dear friend, Marilyn, God bless you and the boys at this difficult time. I will always remember Whitey and all the great times we all shared. I am saddened that he will no longer "just show up at our door". What a gem! We loved him dearly.

Never a day would pass that Whitey would not bring laughter & smiles to those he was with.

Like many of us Whitey loved golf, but more importantly I truly believe he loved LIFE!!

I will always rember having Whitey & his son as my guest at the Legend Club, both for his laughs, but more importantly how proud he was to be playing with his son.

I will miss Whitey, but not a day will pass that I won't think of him & remember to smile.

Mark was larger than life. He touched so many with his warmth, wit, and devotion to family. Always a volunteer, the young people loved him for all of his cheering in the stands and teasing the girls. He will be sorely missed, and has left us with great memories. Our love, sympathy, and prayers go to Marilyn, the great woman behind the man, and to Dinneen and Nick, Mark's greatest joy.

I was shocked and saddened to read of Mark's passing. Although I have not seen Mark in many year's, I will always remember the fun times, while growing up and hanging out at the Whitehurst house. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family.

I read about Mark today in the StarTribune. I am so saddened - I knew him because of my ex-husband and your children used to spend time at our house. I appreciate the advice he gave me to plant onion sets and tomatoes. Our prayers are with you and your family in this difficult time.

We as a family will certainly miss Mark's presence in the hockey stands and his ever going generosity to kids. He was the life of the party, and never without a story. Our prayers and love go out to the Whitehurst family.

Although I did not personally know Mark, I do know the strong bond of the Whitehurst family. My heart goes out to all who are dealing with this trying time.



Keep in mind, not many of us get to go doing something we love, with those we love around us. In this regard Mark was a very lucky man.



You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

We will miss Mark dearly. We will remember his smile, his laugh, his zest for life, his devotion to his family, his gardening skills, his cheers from the stands, the way he called all the girls "sweetheart" and his beautiful hair!

Such sad news. I have many fond childhood memories on Shryer Ave. with Mark, Greg, Kathy, Jeff, Mary Bridget, Patrick, Kay and Lee. My hope is that you find comfort in your faith and special memories. Love to the entire Whitehurst family.
