Mark was a wonderful, kind, and remarkable man! I was always a sincere fan of his various television appearances, and I use to write to him once a year at Christmas and not only did he always write me back, he always would tell me of all his fans that I was his favorite! He indeed was a true and faithful disciple of our Lord and Savior and he had, and always will, a sincere and positive influence on my life. I look forward to seeing you again Mark on the other side when I get there and although you're missed it is comforting to know that through both your various film-TV appearances and the genuine compassion that you extended to every person you encountered with will keep you living on with each and every one of us beyond celluloid. Here's to you Mark and thank you SO much for being not only my favorite actor but my pen pal and my precious friend!

Mark was a member of our great class of 1965 at Chenango Valley High in Chenango Bridge, NY. He was a big, strong guy with a dramatic streak as early as I can recall. An optimistic guy, he loved CV, and always encouraged my distance running passion. In my Senior yearbook, he wrote: 'See you in the Olympics!'. I almost made it, decades ago, and I hope he recalled encouraging me. Thanks for your friendship Mark. RIP.

My condolences to Mark´s family. I remember Mark from my high school days at Chenango Valley Junior/Senior high school. Mark was a couple of years behind me and his older brother Chris was a few years ahead of me.
