I remember Mark from the 1970's when he was an executive with Manhattan Ward. I was an employee at Eugene Jacobs in the Oxford Valley and Woodhaven Malls. Once I got to know him he was a great guy. I also believe his parents and my grandfather both lived at the Brith Sholom house at the same time.

Poppop - RIP

David Shulick

My father-in-law a/k/a 'Poppop' was an amazing man. No matter what struggles or pain he suffered through, no matter what, he always had a smile or concealed his suffering from his children and grandchildren. Many say that 'attitude' is everything in life. Poppop had an amazing attitude, always, always finding the glass half full, instead of half empty. Whenever I faced any personal struggles, I could look to him for strength, courage and the resilience needed to face the issue. Often, many times during a jog or walk, I would think of him and how blessed I was to be able to walk or jog, as he was confined to a wheelchair. Such a simple thing, walking or jogging, that so many of us take for granted he was unable to do - yet - he remained positive, upbeat, and always thankful for what he had, not what he lost. I loved him. He was a wonderful father-in-law, and I pray that Adoshem will allow him to finally be free from pain and disease and to rest in peace. You will always be loved.

He will always be remembered for his smile, and his sense of humor and friendship. He and Ann were always fun to be around. We didn’t see much of each other but I often think of both of you on our “parents weekends in Pittsburgh. He is at peace now and resting comfortably. Best wishes to your whole family.

I am extremely saddened to hear of Mark's passing. Unfortunately, he had a lot of obstacles along the way in his road to life. He took everything in stride and always had a smile on his face and love in his heart. He was truly a miracle man! You knew that he was surrounded with lots of love from both his family and friends. I will never forget him and will miss him terribly! My thoughts and prayers go out to the Zenstein family, with love.

Although our hearts are sad it is with great joy that we remember the many happy memories we shared with Ann and Mark. This was a man who no matter what always made you feel " the sun shined bright " whenever you were with him. He was dedicated, sincere and devoted as a husband, father and grandfather. We are honored that we could call him- friend. May he rest in peace.

What a wonderful person. With all his problems when he came into the gym he always had a big smile for everyone. He'd say "how are u today Mary, before I could say the same thing to him. He'd do his workout and converse with everyone.

Dear Ann and family,
I worked with Mark, as his physical therapist, a few years ago and have known his family for many more. His attitude was always bright and positive and I could tell he looked forward to our visits. I know he overcame many hurdles with his diagnosis, but his will to walk and get stronger was always there! So sorry for you loss.

Ann & Family:

We are writing this sadly. There are so many memories that have happened over the 66 years we were friends ( brothers) I could probably fill a book. I always thought that like in the past he would defy the odds and come back smiling. I guess God had other plans. We will cherish the memories of the years and all of the good times we celebrated together.
